Best Betting Sites in Chile 2026
I have covered Chilean iGaming since 2019, and I cannot think of a single LATAM market in a stranger spot than Chile right now. In September 2025 the Supreme Court ruled 3 to 2 that every online sportsbook operating in the country is illegal unless expressly authorised, then ordered Claro, Entel, Movistar, WOM, VTR and GTD to block the domains. By November 2025 the list of blocked sites included Betano, Coolbet, JugaBet, Rojabet and Betsson, and the regulator-that-isn't, the proposed ANJ in Boletín 14838-03, is still stuck in the Senate. This is my ranked list of the best betting sites in Chile for 2026, written with that legal reality on the table. Not financial advice. Licence status changes. Always verify on SCJ for land-based and check the live status of any offshore brand before depositing.
Search "mejores casas de apuestas Chile" and you get ten near-identical rankings, almost all of them written before the September 2025 ruling and quietly republished after. I do this for a living, and the calculation in Chile is genuinely different from Argentina or Colombia. Here, there is no Coljuegos, no LOTBA, no provincial split. There is the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego for 17 land-based venues, the state-owned Polla Chilena and Lotería de Concepción for football pools and lotteries, and a hard wall of "all the rest is illegal" that the Supreme Court has now made operational. I rank on what survives that filter: licensing realism, market depth, payment routes that still work in CLP, and how the operator treats withdrawals when a peso bank decline lands at 11 p.m.

Operator data: offshore international books (use with caution)
These bookmakers show up on every "best betting sites in Chile" list. None of them holds Chilean authorisation. After the September 2025 Supreme Court ruling and the November 2025 SUBTEL enforcement notices to ISPs, several are on a domain blocking list, Betano, Coolbet, JugaBet, Rojabet and Betsson among them. The limits and bonus generosity can look attractive. You sit outside Chilean consumer protections if a dispute arises, the Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII) has periodically issued circulares attempting to tax operator activity, and a peso decline at your bank can be a domain-routing issue rather than a card issue. I include them for completeness with the caveat up front.

How welcome offers and T&Cs actually work in Chile
There is no Chilean advertising standard equivalent to Ontario's AGCO Standard 2.05, no DGOJ-style cap on bonus structure, and no Coljuegos rulebook. The Servicio de Impuestos Internos issues guidance on operator taxation, and CONAR publishes voluntary advertising standards. But on the consumer side, you are reading offshore terms written for an international audience. Here is how those mechanics typically play out for Chilean punters:
- Bonus bets vs deposit match. Most welcome offers translate as deposit-match (a percentage on your first deposit, e.g. 100% up to 250,000 CLP) rather than bonus-bet credits. CL-targeted brands (JugaBet at 275% in some periods) lean heavier on the headline number to compete with Argentine and Peruvian neighbours.
- Minimum odds and rollover. Qualifying odds usually start at 1.50 (-200). Rollover ranges from 5x to 15x, applied to bonus and frequently to the deposit too. A 100% match up to 200,000 CLP at 10x rollover = you need to wager 2,000,000 CLP in qualifying bets before withdrawal unlocks.
- Expiry. 14 to 30 days is standard. The high-CLP figures look generous on the landing page, then evaporate when the clock runs out on a sportsbook with thin live coverage of Chilean teams.
- Eligible payment methods. Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded from many welcome offers in CL. Khipu, WebPay and Mach typically qualify. Crypto deposits qualify on Stake-style books but rarely on traditional operators.
- Currency exposure. Even when an operator displays CLP, settlement on offshore books often happens in EUR, USD or GBP. If you deposit 100,000 CLP today and withdraw in three weeks, FX movement plus the operator's spread can shave 1 to 3% off the round trip. Stable in calm weeks. Painful in a peso volatility spike.
- "Risk-free" framing. Several CL-targeted brands still use risk-free language. In practice, "risk-free" means a bonus-bet refund if the qualifying bet loses, not a cash refund. Read the T&Cs.
My rule of thumb: judge by real terms (minimum odds, rollover multiple, expiry, payment exclusions, FX policy), never by the headline CLP figure. A 50% match with 5x rollover is almost always better value than a 200% match with 15x.
How I tested these Chilean betting sites
No theory. Just the five things that decide whether a bookmaker is worth your CLP.
Market depth (Liga de Primera, La Roja, EPL, Champions, Copa Libertadores, NBA, tennis, F1)
Mainstream coverage is the baseline. What separates the better sites for Chile is depth on local football: Colo-Colo, Universidad de Chile, Universidad Católica, Audax Italiano, Coquimbo Unido, Cobreloa. Also Brasileirão (huge CL following on bet365 and Betano), the EPL (Alexis Sánchez-era loyalty to Arsenal still drives engagement), Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, plus tennis (Nicolás Jarry), NBA, and F1. bet365 runs 1,000+ markets across 30+ sports. Betano is the best at Liga de Primera prop depth in my testing. Pinnacle is thinnest on Chilean teams but sharpest on price.
Odds and pricing
Bonuses get the marketing. Price is what compounds over a season. I compare margin on standard markets and on Liga de Primera 1-X-2 specifically. Pinnacle prices tighter than promo-heavy books, frequently by 1.5 to 3 points on a Colo-Colo or La U match. Over 30 bets, that beats any one-time deposit match.
Payments and withdrawal speed (WebPay, Khipu, Mach, crypto)
This is the metric most reviewers skip. Chile has its own payment stack: WebPay (Transbank, the dominant card processor), Khipu (instant bank transfer), Mach (BCI's mobile wallet, QR-based). Visa/Mastercard work but periodic merchant-code declines at offshore books are a known quirk. PayPal works. Skrill/Neteller work for higher-volume CL punters. Crypto (BTC + USDT TRC20) carries meaningful volume because of peso volatility, Chilean inflation expectations have made USDT a real hedge, not a niche. Khipu was the fastest local rail I logged: under 24h consistently on Coolbet and Betano when they were still routing. Mach was steady on JugaBet and Tikitaka. WebPay sometimes adds a 1 to 2 day delay due to Transbank batching.
App and live betting
I do most of my in-play on a phone. Novibet's Android app is the most stable in the CL ranking, fewer freezes during live Colo-Colo matches than the giants. bet365 pairs reliable in-play with live streaming and early cash-out. Betano apps look modern but had two crashes in Copa Libertadores knock-out testing.
Licensing and trust
This is where Chile gets uncomfortable. There is no Chilean online operator licence to verify against. So I look for: Malta Gaming Authority registration (Betsson, Coolbet, bet365's parent), UKGC backing in the group structure (bet365, 888sport, William Hill), Curaçao + Anjouan as the offshore baseline (most of the rest), publicly listed parent companies (Kaizen Gaming, Entain, Super Group), and audit trails. I flag every offshore book clearly. You make the personal-risk call.
Top 25 betting sites in Chile: ranked, reviewed, with pros and cons
1. 22bet: biggest market spread
22bet is owned by Marikit Holdings in Cyprus and runs on a Curaçao licence. If you want sheer variety, 22bet covers a vast spread of sports and leagues, plus esports and a casino. Minimum deposit is 1,000 CLP. It now takes WebPay, Khipu and crypto, with payouts in 15 minutes to a few hours on e-wallets and crypto. The flip side: a cluttered interface, offshore status, and customer support that drifts to a script during peak hours.
Pros
- Enormous market spread, esports depth
- Low 1,000 CLP minimum deposit
- WebPay + Khipu + crypto routes
- Fast e-wallet payouts
Cons
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Cluttered interface
- Support quality drops at peak hours
- Currency exposure on long-held balances
2. BetLabel: crypto and Khipu all-rounder
BetLabel launched in 2023 and is operated by TechSolutions Group. Dual Curaçao + Kahnawake licences (No. 000882), stablemates with National Casino and Bizzo. Sportsbook powered by BetBy, covering 30+ sports plus esports, with live streaming and partial cash-out. Accepts Khipu, cards, Skrill, Neteller and crypto. Minimum deposit around 12,000 CLP. Withdrawals clear in about 24 hours. Offshore for Chile, with no local authorisation and a thinner CL-targeted promo than CL-native brands.
Pros
- Dual Curaçao + Kahnawake licensing
- Khipu + crypto + 15 methods
- Live streaming and partial cash-out
- BetBy sportsbook engine is solid
Cons
- Offshore, not Chilean-authorised
- Higher minimum deposit than CL norm
- Short track record
- Generic LATAM promos rather than CL-specific
3. Ivibet: casino-led, with esports
Ivibet has served Chilean players since 2022. Operated by TechOptions Group on Curaçao and Kahnawake licences (No. 00996, issued April 2025). Casino-led with 6,000+ games, but the sportsbook still covers 30+ sports and esports. Payments include WebPay, Mach, Khipu, ecoPayz, MuchBetter and 15+ cryptos. Minimum deposit around 8,000 CLP. Crypto payouts cleared in about 90 minutes in tests; WebPay took around 31 hours. Offshore.
Pros
- Kahnawake + Curaçao licensing
- Huge casino library + esports
- Broad payments incl. WebPay + Mach
- Provably fair games
Cons
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Sportsbook secondary to casino
- Slower WebPay vs crypto payouts
- Live coverage of Chilean football is thin
4. HellSpin: casino only, no sportsbook
One to flag clearly. HellSpin is a casino brand, not a sportsbook. There is no sports betting here at all. Launched 2022 on a Curaçao licence, with 4,000+ games and full CLP support. Banking covers WebPay, Mach, e-wallets and 15+ cryptos, with around 8,000 CLP minimum. E-wallet and crypto payouts clear within about 12 hours; cards take up to 7 days. I include HellSpin because it appears on many Chilean lists, but sports bettors should look elsewhere.
Pros
- Large casino library, Chilean payment rails
- Fast e-wallet and crypto payouts
- Full CLP support
Cons
- No sportsbook at all
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Limited responsible-gambling tools
- Card payouts up to 7 days
5. BetRepublic: a newer all-round sportsbook
BetRepublic is a newer offshore book and casino on a shared wallet. Takes Khipu from about 8,000 CLP, plus cards, Skrill, Neteller and crypto. My Khipu withdrawal arrived in under 72 hours, with crypto faster. There is an in-house responsible-gambling self-assessment tool. The main concern is licensing transparency, the operator's regulator detail is not clearly displayed. Offshore for Chile.
Pros
- Khipu + crypto routes
- In-house RG self-assessment
- Clean desktop and mobile UX
Cons
- Weak licensing transparency
- Short track record
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
6. KingMaker: casino and sportsbook combo
KingMaker debuted in 2024, operated by NovaForge Limited on an Anjouan licence (ALSI-152406028-F12). Casino and sportsbook share a wallet. Sportsbook covers 40+ sports with strong esports, in-play and pre-game. Payments include WebPay, Mach, cards, Jeton, MiFinity and crypto, with around 16,000 to 25,000 CLP minimum. Bitcoin payouts clear under an hour; WebPay in about 24 hours. Offshore.
Pros
- 40+ sports plus strong esports
- Wide payments incl. crypto
- Fast crypto payouts
- Shared casino wallet
Cons
- Anjouan licence only (weak oversight)
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Busy interface
- Higher minimum than CL norm
7. Betano: best for Liga de Primera and Brasileirão depth
Betano is operated by Kaizen Gaming, the Greek group that built a serious LATAM footprint via Brazil. The CL-facing product is one of the more polished offshore sportsbooks: deep Liga de Primera markets, the best Brasileirão coverage outside of Brazil itself, modern app, WebPay/Mach/Khipu rails. The complication: Betano sits on the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list, so domain access has been intermittent. Betano has not announced a CL exit and remains accessible via mirror domains, but treat the routing as unstable rather than guaranteed.
Pros
- Deep Liga de Primera + Brasileirão markets
- WebPay, Mach, Khipu rails
- Modern app + UX
- Kaizen Gaming financial backing
Cons
- On the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list
- Domain access intermittent
- Two app crashes during my Copa Libertadores testing
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
8. bet365: best for in-play and live streaming
Still the benchmark for live betting and streaming. bet365 carries 1,000+ markets across 30+ sports, with cash-out and a reliable app. Payments cover Visa/Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, bank transfer (no WebPay direct integration in CL at time of writing). Minimum around 5,000 CLP, no withdrawal fees. Card payouts were the quickest I clocked, often inside 4 hours.
Pros
- Fastest card payouts I logged in CL
- Best-in-class live streaming and cash-out
- 1,000+ markets, 30+ sports
- No withdrawal fees
Cons
- No WebPay direct in CL
- Welcome offer modest
- Can restrict sharp accounts
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
9. Betsson: best LATAM all-rounder
Betsson AB is the Swedish-Maltese group that dominates LATAM operations from Argentina to Peru. The CL product is polished, MGA-licensed at parent level, with deep football and tennis. WebPay + Khipu + e-wallets. On the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list, so access has been intermittent in Chile. Strong customer support and a long compliance track record on regulated markets elsewhere.
Pros
- MGA-licensed parent group
- Deep football + tennis markets
- WebPay + Khipu support
- Strong customer support
Cons
- On November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list
- Promo less aggressive than CL-native brands
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
10. Coolbet: best for sharp odds and transparency
Coolbet (Estonian origin, now part of Yolo Group) is the rare offshore book that publishes its margin publicly and runs a transparency-first product. MGA-licensed. Strong Khipu + Mach + card rails, fast Khipu payouts (under 24h in testing). On the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list. The transparency is genuinely useful; the access issues post-ruling are real.
Pros
- Publishes operator margin (rare)
- MGA-licensed
- Fast Khipu payouts
- Sharp pricing
Cons
- On November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list
- Smaller market spread than 22bet/bet365
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
11. JugaBet: best for CL-targeted bonuses
JugaBet is a CL-targeted Curaçao operator that competes hard on headline bonus numbers, 275% deposit match up to 1.5 million CLP plus 100,000 CLP in free bets in periods I checked. Payments are CL-native: WebPay, Mach, Khipu. App is functional rather than premium. On the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list. The bonus generosity is real; the rollover terms behind it deserve careful reading.
Pros
- Aggressive CL-targeted bonus structure
- WebPay, Mach, Khipu rails
- CL-focused customer support
Cons
- On November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list
- Rollover terms on the heavy side
- App functional, not premium
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
12. Pinnacle: best for sharp odds and high limits
The sharp bettor's choice. Pinnacle's pricing and limits are excellent. It does not restrict winning players the way many books do. The catch in Chile: it is offshore, with no welcome offer, no Spanish-first onboarding, no WebPay or Mach, and a UI that assumes you already know your market. Pinnacle is for serious volume punters who care about price above all else.
Pros
- Lowest margins, sharpest prices in the list
- Very high limits
- Does not limit winning players
- Crypto accepted
Cons
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- No welcome offer
- No live streaming
- Steeper UI for beginners
- No WebPay/Mach rails
13. Stake.com: best crypto sportsbook (offshore)
Stake.com has been live since 2017 under Curaçao. It is the reference for crypto bettors, with broad coin support and strong esports. Crypto-first: no WebPay, no Mach, no Khipu, no cards. Crypto withdrawals near-instant, usually under 24h. Offshore with no Chilean authorisation. Useful precisely if you are already operating in USDT TRC20 to hedge peso exposure, and useless if you bank in CLP.
Pros
- Broad cryptocurrency support
- Strong esports markets
- Near-instant crypto payouts
- Modern interface
Cons
- Crypto only, no CLP rails
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Outside Chilean protections
14. Bwin: best for EPL and Champions League props
Bwin is an Entain brand from 1997. Detailed European football and EPL prop markets on a smooth site. Weaker on Chilean football. For Chile, Bwin operates as an international brand from offshore, confirm current availability where you live before signing up.
Pros
- Deep EPL + Champions League props
- Smooth site
- Established brand (Entain group)
Cons
- Offshore for Chile
- Weak Liga de Primera coverage
- No WebPay or Mach
15. 888sport: best bet-builder mechanics
Solid all-round coverage and a competent bet builder. 888sport takes a roughly 5,000 CLP minimum deposit and a low equivalent minimum withdrawal. Supports cards, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller. iOS and Android apps, live streaming and in-play. Promotions are EU/UK-flavoured rather than CL-flavoured. Offshore for Chile.
Pros
- Polished bet builder
- Low minimum withdrawal
- Live streaming and in-play
- Apps on both stores
Cons
- EU/UK-flavoured promos, not CL
- Liga de Primera depth trails leaders
- Offshore for Chile
16. Novibet: best Android app for live betting
Novibet runs a sportsbook + casino on offshore licensing, with a CL-targeted product. Strongest single feature: the Android app was the most stable I tested on Liga de Primera live matches, fewer freezes during Colo-Colo vs U Chile in injury time than I logged on Betano or JugaBet. Payments cover WebPay, Mach, Khipu. Offshore for Chile.
Pros
- Most stable Android app in CL testing
- WebPay + Mach + Khipu rails
- Solid Liga de Primera coverage
Cons
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Sportsbook secondary to casino in some periods
- Promo less generous than JugaBet
17. Rojabet: CL-targeted Curaçao site
Rojabet is a CL-focused brand on Curaçao licensing. WebPay, Khipu and Mach all supported. On the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list. Smaller market spread than the giants. Customer support is CL-native (Chilean Spanish, not generic LATAM).
Pros
- CL-native customer support
- WebPay, Khipu, Mach rails
- CL-targeted product
Cons
- On November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list
- Smaller market spread
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
18. Tikitaka: mobile-first CL targeting
Tikitaka is a smaller CL-focused offshore book with a mobile-first product. Mach + Khipu + WebPay. Strong on Liga de Primera and Selección Nacional markets, light on European football outside the top five leagues. Customer support is CL-flavoured. Offshore.
Pros
- Mobile-first UX
- Mach + Khipu rails
- Strong Selección Nacional coverage
Cons
- Light on European football depth
- Smaller brand, thinner reputation
- Offshore
19. TonyBet: combos and statistics tools
TonyBet serves Chilean punters via its international .com from offshore. Strong combo/parlay tooling and a useful statistics layer. Payments cover cards, Skrill, Neteller. No native WebPay or Mach in CL. Modest welcome offer. Treat as an international sportsbook with no CL-specific tailoring.
Pros
- Strong combo / parlay tools
- Useful statistics layer
- Decent live betting
Cons
- No native WebPay or Mach
- Modest welcome offer
- Offshore
20. 22bet (LATAM): esports depth
The LATAM-targeted face of 22bet. Listed separately because the LATAM .com sometimes carries different promo terms and CLP rails than the primary .com. Same Marikit Holdings ownership, same Curaçao licence. Esports depth is the standout, CS2, Dota 2, LoL coverage rivals dedicated esports books.
Pros
- Excellent esports depth
- LATAM-tailored promos in some periods
- Many payment options
Cons
- Offshore
- Cluttered interface
- Support quality variable
21. 1xbet: sheer volume of markets
1xbet brings sheer volume, football markets that few rivals can match, in some cases 1,500+ markets on a single Premier League fixture. The trade-off is a permanently grey reputational profile, intermittent regulatory friction across multiple markets, and a UI that prioritises bonus banners over usability. Offshore for Chile.
Pros
- Massive market depth per fixture
- Wide payment options incl. crypto
- Strong live betting
Cons
- Permanently grey reputational profile
- UI heavy with promo banners
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
22. Melbet: live betting volume
Melbet is a 1xbet sister brand with similar architecture and similar caveats. Strong live betting menu and wide market spread. Same reputational considerations as 1xbet. Offshore.
Pros
- Wide live betting menu
- Crypto payments accepted
- Aggressive promos
Cons
- Sister brand of 1xbet, same caveats
- UI cluttered
- Offshore
23. NordicBet: Scandinavian sister to Betsson
NordicBet is part of the Betsson group, MGA-licensed at parent level. Lighter footprint in Chile than its sister brand, but the same compliance backbone. Offshore for Chile, with no specific CL targeting. Useful if you want a different account inside the same group rather than a different operator.
Pros
- Betsson group compliance backbone
- MGA-licensed parent
- Clean Scandinavian UX
Cons
- Limited CL-specific tailoring
- Offshore, no Chilean authorisation
- Smaller LATAM footprint than Betsson
24. Boyacá: CL-focused niche book
Boyacá is a smaller CL-targeted offshore book on Curaçao licensing. WebPay + Mach supported. Light market depth, but CL-flavoured customer support and a reasonably honest promo structure. For most punters this is a third or fourth account rather than a primary, sitting alongside a deeper book like bet365 or 22bet.
Pros
- CL-targeted product
- WebPay + Mach rails
- Honest promo structure
Cons
- Thin market depth
- Smaller brand reputation
- Offshore
25. Polla Chilena (Polla Gol): the only legally authorised football pool
Polla Chilena de Beneficencia is the state-owned operator that holds, alongside Lotería de Concepción, the duopoly on legally authorised gambling-style products in Chile. Polla Gol is the football pool: 14 selected matches per round (mainly Liga de Primera, some Primera B, some international fixtures), each picked as 1-X-2. Minimum stake 500 CLP. Pari-mutuel structure (the prize pool is divided among winners, not fixed odds). In April 2026 Polla signed a 12-year contract with Bally's Intralot to modernise lottery, sports betting and digital products. CEO Carlos Baeza stated publicly in May 2026 that Polla's stated objective is "to eliminate other online betting providers from the market" once ANJ legislation passes. Polla Gol is not a substitute for a modern sportsbook. It is a pari-mutuel pool with a half-century of history. But it is the only legally authorised football-betting product in Chile, and many punters use it alongside an offshore account.
Pros
- The only legally authorised football pool
- 500 CLP minimum stake
- State operator, profits fund welfare
- WebPay + Mach + retail integration
Cons
- Pari-mutuel, not fixed-odds, no parlays
- Limited to 14 matches per round
- No live betting, no cash-out
- Product modernisation only starting (Intralot contract April 2026)

Football overseas, EPL (Alexis Sánchez-era loyalty), Champions League, Bundesliga, Serie A, LaLiga, Brasileirão, all standard. UFC, F1, NBA, MLB and NHL get coverage at the bigger books. Polla Gol focuses on Chilean football mostly, with selected international fixtures.
Timeline: the history of betting in Chile
It helps to see how Chile got into the strangest LATAM regulatory position, because the contradiction of "land-based casinos regulated, online entirely unauthorised" makes more sense once you trace the path. Dates verified against state sources where possible.
Polla Chilena de Beneficencia is founded as a state lottery, with profits earmarked for welfare. Lotería de Concepción already exists (founded 1921 under Universidad de Concepción's charter).
Polla Gol launches as the state football pool, 14 selected matches, pari-mutuel structure, 1-X-2 picks. Among Latin America's earliest state football-pool products.
Ley 19.995 creates the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) and the modern regulatory framework for land-based casinos. Over the following decade 17 SCJ-licensed casinos open across the country, including Monticello, Marina del Sol Talcahuano, Casino Enjoy Coquimbo, Enjoy Pucón, Enjoy Antofagasta.
Offshore .com sportsbooks (bet365, Betsson, 22bet, Coolbet) build de-facto market share in Chile despite no Chilean licence framework, taking advantage of WebPay and Khipu's openness to international merchants.
The government tables Boletín 14838-03, the bill to create the Agencia Nacional de Juegos (ANJ) as a new regulator with authority to license online sportsbooks and casinos. Proposed 20% GGR tax, mandatory self-exclusion register, maximum 25 licences.
The bill clears the Cámara de Diputadas. The SII (Servicio de Impuestos Internos) issues circulares attempting to apply VAT to operator activity. Enforcement is uneven. The Comisión de Economía del Senado approves the bill in general terms.
The pivot point. The Supreme Court rules 3 to 2 that all online gambling in Chile is illegal unless expressly authorised by law, upholding a protection appeal filed by Lotería de Concepción. ISPs (Claro, Entel, Movistar, WOM, VTR, GTD) are ordered to block illegal sites. The list initially includes Betano, Coolbet, JugaBet, Rojabet and Betsson.
SUBTEL and regulators issue enforcement notices to ISPs and demand evidence of blocking. The blocking order is extended nationwide.
Polla Chilena announces a 12-year technology contract with Bally's Intralot to modernise lottery, sports betting and digital products. Signal: Polla intends to compete with offshore brands once ANJ is law.
Polla CEO Carlos Baeza states publicly that the state operator's "objective is to eliminate other online betting providers from the market" once ANJ passes.
Boletín 14838-03 awaits a full Senate vote. Multiple deadlines have slipped due to industry lobbying and the question of whether the ANJ framework lets Polla compete on equal terms with private licensees.
Chilean regulation: what punters need to know in 2026
The current legal position is unusual:
- Land-based casinos (17 venues) are fully regulated under the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) and Ley 19.995. Adult age 18+.
- State football pool and lotteries, Polla Chilena (Polla Gol, Polla Loto, Xperto) and Lotería de Concepción, are legally authorised by their respective charters.
- Pari-mutuel horse racing via Teletrak (Club Hípico + Hipódromo Chile + Valparaíso Sporting) is legally authorised.
- Online sportsbooks and casinos have no Chilean authorisation. The Supreme Court ruled in September 2025 that they are illegal unless expressly authorised by law, and ordered ISPs to block them. ANJ legislation (Boletín 14838-03) is the proposed fix but has not become law.
- Taxes on winnings: Chile does not generally tax recreational gambling winnings for individuals. Operator activity is subject to corporate income tax and, per SII circulares, VAT under certain conditions.
- Self-exclusion: SCJ-regulated casinos operate a self-exclusion registry. There is no nationwide online self-exclusion list yet, that is one of Boletín 14838-03's proposed features. Problem-gambling support runs through SENDA.
- Currency: CLP. Some higher-volume punters use USDT TRC20 as a hedge against peso volatility, particularly during inflation spikes.
The Chilean betting market in numbers (2025 to 2026)
One trend worth flagging. The 2025 Supreme Court ruling did not make Chilean punters stop betting. It made the access route harder. VPN usage spiked in Q4 2025 according to multiple ISP reports, and brands on the SUBTEL blocking list responded with mirror domains and updated TLDs. The structural fix, a proper licence framework, sits with Boletín 14838-03 in the Senate. Until that vote, the market is a holding pattern.
Quick facts: age, taxes and payments
- Minimum age: 18+ for casino (SCJ), Polla products and any offshore sportsbook serving Chile.
- Taxes on winnings: Generally not taxable for recreational bettors in Chile. Professional or business-scale gambling activity can be taxable. Talk to a contador if you are unsure. This is general information, not tax advice.
- Payments: WebPay (Transbank), Khipu and Mach are the dominant local rails. Visa/Mastercard work but periodic merchant-code declines at offshore books are a known quirk. PayPal works. Skrill/Neteller for higher-volume punters. Crypto (BTC + USDT TRC20) carries meaningful volume due to peso volatility hedging.
- Minimum deposit: 1,000 to 5,000 CLP at most CL-targeted offshore books; 12,000 to 16,000 CLP at some international ones; 500 CLP minimum stake on Polla Gol.
- Currency: CLP. Some operators settle in EUR/USD/GBP, watch the FX spread on long-held balances.
FAQ: best betting sites in Chile
Is online betting legal in Chile?
No, not in the affirmative sense. The Supreme Court ruled in September 2025 that all online gambling is illegal unless expressly authorised by law, and ordered ISPs to block offshore sites. Only Polla Chilena, Lotería de Concepción and Teletrak are legally authorised for online-style products. ANJ legislation (Boletín 14838-03) would create a licensing path but has not passed.
Will the ANJ bill pass in 2026?
Hard to forecast. It cleared the Comisión de Economía del Senado but is awaiting a full Senate floor vote that has slipped multiple times. Industry expectation is a vote inside the 2026-2027 window, though further delays are possible given the lobbying activity.
Are bet365, Betano and Betsson blocked in Chile?
Yes, several brands sit on the November 2025 SUBTEL blocking list, Betano, Coolbet, JugaBet, Rojabet and Betsson among them. bet365 was not on the initial list at time of writing, but additional domains have been added since. Always verify current access status before depositing.
What are the best bookmakers in Chile for Liga de Primera?
In my testing, Betano has the deepest Liga de Primera markets (where accessible), with Novibet the most stable Android app for live betting on Chilean football.
Can I use WebPay and Mach?
Yes. WebPay (Transbank), Khipu and Mach are accepted by most CL-targeted offshore books, Betano, JugaBet, Novibet, Rojabet, Tikitaka, Ivibet, Boyacá. International books like bet365 and Pinnacle do not offer native WebPay or Mach in Chile.
Is crypto betting legal in Chile?
Crypto betting lives on offshore books that are not legally authorised in Chile. It is illegal in the same sense as any other offshore online gambling, the Supreme Court ruling applies regardless of payment method. USDT TRC20 is widely used to hedge peso volatility but does not create a legal path.
Are gambling winnings taxed in Chile?
Generally no for recreational bettors. Professional or business-scale activity can be taxed. See a contador if you are unsure.
What about Polla Gol? Is it a real sportsbook?
Polla Gol is not a modern sportsbook, it is a pari-mutuel football pool with 14 selected matches per round and 1-X-2 picks. Minimum stake 500 CLP. No live betting, no cash-out, no parlays. But it is the only legally authorised football-betting product in Chile.
What is the SCJ?
The Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego, the regulator for land-based casinos under Ley 19.995. It does not regulate online gambling and has no licensing path for online sportsbooks. That is what Boletín 14838-03 would change by creating the ANJ.
Where can I get help if betting becomes a problem?
SENDA (Servicio Nacional para la Prevención y Rehabilitación del Consumo de Drogas y Alcohol) is the state agency that covers problem-gambling support in Chile. SCJ-regulated land-based casinos also operate a self-exclusion register.
My take: where I would open my first account
This is my opinion as someone who does this for a living. It is not a verdict, and not a push to bet. The Chilean market is in regulatory limbo, and the calculation differs from any other LATAM country. If Liga de Primera depth matters most, Betano is the best CL-tailored product, assuming domain access. If you want the most stable Android app for live betting, Novibet. If price matters above everything, Pinnacle is the sharpest, with no CL rails so bring an international card or crypto. If you want the broadest market and the lowest minimum deposit, 22bet. If you want a legally authorised product and accept the pari-mutuel structure, Polla Gol at 500 CLP per pick. Wherever you land, treat the offshore route as a personal-risk decision until ANJ becomes law and a proper Chilean licence framework exists. Set deposit limits before you start. Read the rollover before you read the bonus number. And keep an eye on Boletín 14838-03, the day it passes, this entire ranking will need a rewrite.
