Best Betting Sites in Colombia 2026

Colombia was the first country in Latin America to switch on a regulated online sports-betting market, and ten years on it is still the cleanest in the region. Coljuegos issued the first licence to Wplay in 2016, casino verticals were folded in during 2020, and as of May 2026 the official register sits at fifteen authorised operators after MrYoker joined the list. The detail that most international guides bury: every peso of betting tax goes, by constitutional mandate, into the public-health system. So this isn't a vague compliance story, when you stake responsibly on a licensed Colombian sportsbook, you are literally funding hospitals in Cali, Medellín, Barranquilla and Bogotá. I've spent the last year opening accounts, depositing in PSE, Nequi and Daviplata, and timing payouts across each operator on the Coljuegos list, plus the offshore names that still try to take Colombian deposits. The table comes first, then the operator data, then the licensing reality. Verify any operator's current contrato on Coljuegos before you deposit. Licences move.

I run the Casino and Reviews desk at Goralbet from Madrid, and Colombia is the one Latin American market where I never have to qualify the word "regulated." Brazil only switched on its Lei das Bets framework in January 2025. Argentina is still a province-by-province patchwork. Mexico is mid-overhaul. But Coljuegos has been issuing online sports-betting contracts since 2016, casino-online since 2020, and the framework, Ley 643 of 2001 plus Decreto 1068 of 2015 plus the operational reglamentos, has actually been enforced. That last word matters. ISP blocks against unlicensed offshore sites are real, the rentista del monopolio (state-owned regulator) audits operator wallets, and the Servicio de Salud receives a quarterly transfer that's published as a government statistic. None of that is true anywhere else in LatAm yet.

Compliance note (por favor, léelo): Coljuegos, the Empresa Industrial y Comercial del Estado Administradora del Monopolio Rentístico de los Juegos de Suerte y Azar, is the federal regulator. It operates under Ley 643 de 2001 (the gambling monopoly law) and Decreto 1068 de 2015 for online-specific rules. Two facts that shape everything: (1) every cent of betting tax is constitutionally earmarked for the public-health system. (2) the temporary 19% VAT introduced by Decreto 0175 de 2025 sits on top of the 15% gaming tax on GGR, which dragged operator margins down roughly 30% in the first months. Minimum age is 18+. Operators must be on the official register or they are illegal in Colombia. I rank on Coljuegos status first, then markets, PSE/Nequi/Daviplata speed, and trust.

What the tags mean. Coljuegos = holds a current contrato de concesión with the Empresa Industrial y Comercial del Estado Administradora del Monopolio Rentístico de los Juegos de Suerte y Azar and operates a .co domain that's legal for Colombian residents. Verify = an international brand whose Colombian status has been shifting, confirm on the Coljuegos register before depositing. Offshore for CO = no Coljuegos contract; subject to ISP-level blocks; sits outside Colombian consumer protections, and any tax-on-winnings dispute lands outside the local framework. Most international names you'll see on global lists are offshore for Colombia specifically.

The Coljuegos-licensed register: who's actually on it

This is the single most useful fact to know before you sign up. As of May 2026, Coljuegos lists fifteen authorised online operators, a number that's moved up and down between thirteen and seventeen across recent years as contracts have been renewed, surrendered, or transferred. The current group, with the official .co domain in brackets, is: Wplay (wplay.co), BetPlay (betplay.com.co), Rushbet (rushbet.co), Codere (codere.com.co), Betano (betano.co), YaJuego (yajuego.co), Luckia (luckia.co), Betsson (betsson.com.co), Rivalo (rivalo.com.co), Zamba (zamba.co), Sportium (sportium.com.co), Bwin (bwin.co), Stake (stake.com.co), MrYoker (mryoker.co) and Bingo Casino Online. Notice who's missing from that list: 22bet, BetLabel, Ivibet, HellSpin, BetRepublic, KingMaker, Pinnacle, bet365, William Hill and most of the other global brands that dominate European or African lists. They serve Colombian players from offshore licences, mostly Curaçao or Anjouan, and they are blocked at ISP level when Coljuegos and MinTIC choose to enforce. I list them in this guide for completeness and price-shopping reference, but the licensed route is the one I'd use and the one I'd recommend to my own family.

Operator data at a glance: Coljuegos-licensed Colombian sportsbooks

Opinions are cheap. Here are the numbers. These are the Coljuegos-licensed Colombian betting sites I tested most. All figures are in Colombian pesos (COP) and current at publication. They vary by method, so check the cashier once you're logged in. PSE clears almost instantly during banking hours; Nequi and Daviplata are 24/7.

Operator data: offshore international books (use with caution)

These names sit on a lot of global "best betting sites" lists and are the ones Colombian players most often ask me about. None of them currently holds a Coljuegos contrato. Coljuegos and MinTIC have run periodic ISP-blocking sweeps against unlicensed operators since 2019, so access can be patchy and IPs can move month-to-month. The crypto coverage and welcome offers look attractive on paper, but you sit outside Colombian consumer protections and outside the public-health tax loop. If you do choose to use an offshore site, research its licensing, its complaints record on a forum like AskGamblers, and its payout reputation first.

Offshore operators serving (or attempting to serve) Colombian players. None holds a Coljuegos contrato. Figures change often, so verify on-site.

Why PSE, Nequi and Daviplata matter more than cards

If you've only ever bet in Europe, this is the part of the Colombian market that will surprise you the most. Card penetration here is the lowest in the major LatAm economies, but mobile-money adoption is the highest. Nequi, Bancolombia's mobile wallet, passed seventeen million active users in 2025. Daviplata, Davivienda's equivalent, sits around fifteen million. Together that's more than half the adult population, and these are the wallets people actually use day-to-day, from paying the bus fare to splitting a bandeja paisa at lunch.

PSE (Pagos Seguros en Línea) is the third pillar: a bank-to-bank rail run by ACH Colombia that connects every major bank and lets you authorise an online payment directly from your savings or current account. PSE clears in seconds during banking hours and is the dominant method for the larger ticket sizes, say, COP 200,000 and above. For smaller, frequent deposits, Nequi and Daviplata win on convenience because you don't need to leave your phone's wallet app.

Then there's the cash layer that internationals always miss: Efecty, SuperGIROS and Baloto, the convenience-store networks that let players who don't trust online banking pay cash at a corner shop and have it credited to a sportsbook account. Wplay, BetPlay and YaJuego all integrate at least two of the three. For the lower-income end of the bettor base, those rails matter as much as PSE does for the formal-banking end.

Here's the practical rule: any operator that doesn't accept PSE, Nequi and Daviplata is, in 2026, irrelevant to most Colombian players. I tested every operator on the list and every single Coljuegos-licensed site supports the three. The offshore books mostly don't, which is one of the more underrated reasons the licensed market keeps consolidating share, it's not just the regulation, it's the payment rails.

One small thing about Nequi withdrawals. Nequi caps how much you can hold and how much you can transact monthly without bumping yourself into the "Cuenta Nequi" higher tier, which requires extra KYC. If you regularly withdraw amounts above COP 4-5 million, plan to upgrade your Nequi tier or use PSE-to-savings for the larger payouts.

How welcome offers and T&Cs actually work in Colombia

Bonus advertising in Colombia is allowed, but it's framed by Coljuegos rules around responsible-gambling messaging, every promo on a licensed site must show RG warnings, age limits, and the source-of-funds line. I won't quote bonus values here because they shift by player profile (KYC tier, deposit history, season) and they shift across the regulatory cycle (the 2025 VAT change pushed operators to leaner welcome offers). What I can do is walk you through the mechanics the way I would for a friend.

  • Bono de bienvenida vs apuesta gratis. Most welcome offers in Colombia split into two formats. A "depósito coincidente" matches a percentage of your first deposit as bonus credit. A "freebet" or "apuesta sin riesgo" gives you a stake-back if your first qualifying bet loses. With a freebet you keep the winnings but not the stake, exactly the same model as the bonus-bet in Canada or the UK.
  • Cuota mínima. Qualifying bets typically need odds of around 1.50 (or higher). Bets below that threshold often won't trigger or release the offer.
  • Requisito de apuesta (rollover). Bonus credit in Colombia commonly carries a 5x to 10x rollover before it converts to withdrawable cash. Some operators count only the bonus, others count the deposit-plus-bonus, read which.
  • Vigencia. Bonuses usually expire in 7 to 30 days. Unused balance is forfeited.
  • KYC con cédula. Under Coljuegos rules you can't withdraw a single peso until full KYC is complete, cédula (Colombian ID) front and back, selfie liveness check, and proof of address for the larger limits. Budget a couple of hours for the operator to verify. Some, like Wplay and BetPlay, are very fast; smaller operators can take 48 hours on a Monday morning.
  • IVA, the elephant in the room. Decreto 0175 de 2025 introduced a temporary 19% VAT on online gambling deposits. Operators have absorbed it in various ways: some pass a portion through to the player as a lower headline bonus, others wear the entire margin hit themselves. Either way, your effective value-for-stake has dropped relative to 2024. It's worth being aware of when comparing offers across markets.

My rule of thumb, the same one I use for Spain and Mexico: judge an offer by its real terms (cuota mínima, rollover, vigencia, payment exclusions), not by the headline. A small bonus with 5x rollover usually beats a flashier one locked behind 10x.

How I tested these Colombian betting sites

No theory. Just the five things that decide whether a bookmaker is worth your deposit.

Market depth (Liga BetPlay, Libertadores, Selección, NBA, UFC, Tour de France)

Mainstream football coverage is the baseline. What separates the best betting sites in Colombia is local depth: prop markets on Liga BetPlay Apertura and Finalización (every Junior-Nacional and Millonarios-Santa Fe match draws serious handle), Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana group stages for Atlético Nacional and Junior, Selección Colombia world-cup qualifiers and friendlies, and crucially, full Tour de France markets with Colombian-rider specials. BetPlay obviously runs the deepest Liga book in the country (they own the naming rights), but Wplay and Betano rival it for Libertadores depth, and Rushbet punches above its weight on NBA and US sports because of the Rush Street parent.

Odds and pricing

Bonuses get the headlines. Price is what compounds. I compare the vig on standard markets, 1X2 on Liga BetPlay match-days is my benchmark. On regulated Colombian books, Betsson and Bwin were the most competitive across a fortnight of sampling. BetPlay sometimes sharpens prices on Liga BetPlay matches because the league sponsorship guarantees the volume. Pinnacle (offshore) still prices tightest globally, but unless you're a serious sharp the regulatory protection of the .co sites is worth the basis-point difference.

Payments and PSE / Nequi / Daviplata speed

The single most important payment metric for a Colombian sportsbook. PSE deposits clear in seconds during banking hours. Nequi and Daviplata are 24/7 instant for deposits. Withdrawals are where the variation lives. Wplay and BetPlay consistently returned Nequi cash-outs in under four hours, the fastest I logged. Betano was close behind. MrYoker (the May 2026 entrant) was slower while it gets its rails settled, give it a quarter before judging it. All Coljuegos-licensed books run a closed-loop policy under the regulator's anti-money-laundering rules, you withdraw to the same account-holder name on the same cédula you deposited from.

App and live betting

Most Colombian bettors are on mobile. Data costs matter, and Wi-Fi coverage outside Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Barranquilla can be patchy. BetPlay's native app is the slickest Colombian product I used, fast, low data, integrated push notifications around Liga BetPlay matches. Betano matches it for general market UX. Rushbet's app feels closer to a US sportsbook, which some players love and others find unfamiliar.

Licensing and trust

Non-negotiable. I verify each operator against the live Coljuegos register and check the URL is genuinely a .co domain operated by the licensed entity. I flag offshore books clearly. You decide for yourself, but my own family bets only on the licensed list.

Top 25 betting sites in Colombia: ranked, reviewed, with pros and cons

1. 22bet: biggest market spread (offshore)

22bet is owned by Marikit Holdings in Cyprus and runs on a Curaçao licence. For sheer variety, it covers a huge range of sports and leagues, plus esports and a casino. It does not hold a Coljuegos contrato and is not on a .co domain. Crypto and e-wallet payouts land in fifteen minutes to a few hours. The flip side: a cluttered interface, no Colombian payment rails (no PSE, no Nequi, no Daviplata), no .co domain, and intermittent ISP blocking when Coljuegos and MinTIC run enforcement sweeps. Useful for price comparison; not where I'd settle.

Pros

  • Enormous market spread across sports and esports
  • Crypto and global e-wallet support
  • Aggressive bonus offers

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No PSE / Nequi / Daviplata
  • Subject to Colombian ISP blocks
  • Outside Colombian consumer protections

2. BetLabel: crypto and modern payments all-rounder (offshore)

BetLabel launched in 2023 under TechSolutions Group on Curaçao and Kahnawake licences. The sportsbook is powered by BetBy and covers thirty-plus sports plus esports, with live streaming and partial cash-out. It takes cards, Skrill, Neteller and crypto, with a USD 15 minimum. Withdrawals clear within about 24 hours. No Coljuegos licence, no native Colombian payment integration, and it sits outside Colombian player protections.

Pros

  • Curaçao and Kahnawake licensed
  • 30+ sports plus esports
  • Live streaming and partial cash-out
  • Modern interface

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No PSE / Nequi / Daviplata
  • Short track record in LatAm
  • Subject to ISP blocks

3. Ivibet: casino-led with esports depth (offshore)

Ivibet has served LatAm since 2022. It's operated by TechOptions Group on Curaçao and Kahnawake licences. Casino-led, with six thousand-plus games, the sportsbook covers thirty-plus sports and esports. Payments are mostly e-wallets and crypto, no PSE, no Nequi. Crypto payouts cleared in about ninety minutes in tests. Not on the Coljuegos register.

Pros

  • Huge casino library
  • Esports depth
  • Crypto payouts under 90 minutes
  • Provably fair games

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No Colombian payment rails
  • Sportsbook secondary to casino
  • Outside CO protections

4. HellSpin: casino only, no sportsbook (offshore)

One to flag clearly. HellSpin is a casino brand, not a sportsbook. There's no sports betting here at all. It launched in 2022 on a Curaçao licence. Casino library is four thousand-plus titles. Banking is cards, e-wallets and crypto. No Coljuegos contrato. I include it because it shows up on global lists, but Colombian sports bettors should look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Large casino library
  • Fast e-wallet and crypto payouts
  • Modern interface

Cons

  • No sportsbook at all
  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No PSE / Nequi / Daviplata
  • Limited RG tools by Colombian standards

5. BetRepublic: a newer all-round sportsbook (offshore)

BetRepublic is a newer offshore sportsbook-and-casino that share one wallet. It takes cards, Skrill, Neteller and crypto. My withdrawal landed in under 72 hours on Interac elsewhere; in Colombia, you'd be limited to international rails. There's an in-house responsible-gambling self-assessment tool, which is a nice touch. Licensing transparency is weak, which I'd want fixed before deposit. No Coljuegos contrato.

Pros

  • In-house RG self-assessment
  • Cards plus crypto
  • Clean on mobile and desktop

Cons

  • Weak licensing transparency
  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No Colombian payment rails
  • Short track record

6. KingMaker: casino and sportsbook combo (offshore)

KingMaker debuted in 2024 under NovaForge Limited on an Anjouan licence. Casino and sportsbook share a wallet, and the sportsbook covers forty-plus sports with strong esports, in-play and pre-game. Payments are cards, Jeton, MiFinity and crypto. Bitcoin payouts clear in under an hour. Not on the Coljuegos register, and Anjouan oversight is the lightest of the offshore options.

Pros

  • 40+ sports plus strong esports
  • Fast crypto payouts
  • Shared casino wallet

Cons

  • Anjouan licence only (weak oversight)
  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No Colombian payment rails
  • Busy interface

7. Wplay.co: the Coljuegos pioneer and the operator I'd open first

Wplay holds the first online sports-betting contrato Coljuegos ever issued, in June 2016. Owned by Aquila Global Group, it's the closest thing Colombia has to a national champion sportsbook. Coverage is broad, Liga BetPlay obviously, plus Libertadores, Sudamericana, Selección Colombia, European football, NBA, UFC, F1 and a serious Tour de France book during July. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty, SuperGIROS, Baloto and Bancolombia are all integrated; minimum deposit is COP 10,000. Nequi payouts hit my account in under four hours across a dozen tests. The interface looks a bit like 2018, but the trust factor and the public-health contribution alignment are unmatched.

Pros

  • First-ever Coljuegos online licence (2016)
  • Full Colombian payment-rail support
  • Fast Nequi and Daviplata payouts
  • Deepest local sports-events coverage

Cons

  • Interface design feels dated
  • Limited live streaming versus bet365 (global)
  • Promo cycles less aggressive than challengers

8. BetPlay: Liga BetPlay Dimayor naming rights and the deepest local football book

BetPlay is operated by Corredor Empresarial under a Coljuegos contrato. The killer angle is the naming-rights deal with Dimayor: the country's top flight is literally called Liga BetPlay Dimayor, the Apertura and Finalización are both BetPlay-branded, and that sponsorship dollar funds the deepest local-football market on the Colombian internet. Player props on Junior, Nacional, Millonarios, Santa Fe, Medellín and Cali go further here than at any other operator. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty, SuperGIROS, Baloto and cards are all in. Nequi payouts under four hours. Mobile app is the slickest in the country.

Pros

  • Liga BetPlay Dimayor naming partner, deepest local football book
  • Polished native mobile app
  • All Colombian payment rails integrated
  • Fast PSE and Nequi payouts

Cons

  • International market depth narrower than bet365 or Pinnacle
  • Live streaming offering still maturing
  • Conflict-of-interest perception around Liga sponsorship

9. Rushbet: Rush Street Interactive (US/Caesars feel)

Rushbet is operated by Rush Street Interactive, the same group behind BetRivers in the US and a Caesars affiliate. It feels closer to a regulated US sportsbook than to a European book, which works well for NBA, NFL, MLB and UFC bettors. Liga BetPlay coverage is solid but not at the BetPlay/Wplay level. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata and cards in. Payouts ran 1-24 hours on Nequi in my testing.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • US-style sportsbook UX
  • Strong NBA, NFL, MLB depth
  • Same-game-parlay tools

Cons

  • Liga BetPlay depth lighter than BetPlay/Wplay
  • Some payouts pushed to next business day
  • App less polished than BetPlay

10. Codere Colombia: Spanish-group depth, casino plus sportsbook

Codere Colombia operates under a Coljuegos contrato through Codere Online Luxembourg. It carries the same Spanish-group polish I cover for the Spanish market (DGOJ-licensed there), and the Colombian product folds casino, slots and sportsbook into one wallet. La Liga and Selección coverage is excellent. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Baloto, Efecty, cards. Withdrawals under 24 hours. Friendly customer service in Spanish.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Strong casino-plus-sportsbook combo
  • Excellent La Liga coverage
  • Solid customer service en español

Cons

  • Liga BetPlay depth not at the BetPlay level
  • Higher minimum withdrawal than challengers
  • App less polished than Betano/BetPlay

11. Betano Colombia: Kaizen Gaming, Selección Colombia odds

Betano's Colombian product is Kaizen Gaming's same European platform localised for COP and Coljuegos. Liga BetPlay coverage is deep, Selección Colombia odds-modelling is among the sharpest, and the live-betting cash-out is responsive. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty, cards. Nequi payouts under six hours typically.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Sharp Selección Colombia odds
  • Deep Liga BetPlay markets
  • Polished mobile app and cash-out

Cons

  • Promo cycle less generous than Wplay/BetPlay
  • Some niche markets thinner than bet365 (offshore)

12. YaJuego: home-grown Colombian brand

YaJuego is the cousin to Wplay (also under the Aquila Global stable) and was built for a Colombian audience first. The UX is simpler and the football focus is sharper. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty all integrated. Coljuegos licensed. International market range narrower than the global brands, but for a Liga BetPlay-first bettor it gets the job done.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed, Colombian-built
  • Simple, clean UX
  • Local-football focus
  • Full Colombian payment-rail support

Cons

  • Narrower international markets
  • App less feature-rich than BetPlay
  • Smaller brand recognition

13. Luckia Colombia: Spanish heritage, retail-plus-online

Luckia is a Spanish operator (with Galician roots) that holds a Coljuegos contrato. The Colombian product mirrors the Spanish one in feel, calm, brand-trustworthy, mid-tier on promo aggression. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata and cards in. Payouts within 24 hours. Casino integration is good.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Established Spanish-group track record
  • Solid casino plus sportsbook

Cons

  • Liga BetPlay depth secondary
  • Mid-tier app polish
  • Promo cycle conservative

14. Betsson Colombia: Nordic group, strong odds engine

Betsson Colombia operates under the same Nordic-group platform that powers Betsson across Europe and other LatAm markets. The odds engine is competitive, the in-play experience is solid, and the brand benefits from a long compliance track record. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata and cards. Nequi payouts under twelve hours typically.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Competitive odds across major leagues
  • Strong in-play experience
  • Long Nordic-group track record

Cons

  • Slower Nequi than Wplay/BetPlay
  • Less localised Liga BetPlay marketing
  • Casino product secondary in CO

15. Rivalo: long-running LatAm brand, football focus

Rivalo has been operating in LatAm for over a decade and holds a Coljuegos contrato. Football-first, with decent Liga BetPlay and Brasileirão depth. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty integrated. Payouts within 24 hours typical.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Long LatAm market track record
  • Football-first product

Cons

  • App less modern than BetPlay/Betano
  • International coverage narrower
  • Promo cycle conservative

16. Zamba.co: casino-first with sportsbook arm

Zamba is casino-led but holds a Coljuegos contrato that covers both verticals. For pure sports bettors it's a secondary option, but the sportsbook is improving year-on-year and the casino-plus-sport wallet integration is clean. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Baloto. Withdrawals 1-24 hours.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Strong casino library
  • Shared wallet across casino and sport

Cons

  • Sportsbook secondary to casino
  • Live-betting experience thinner than rivals
  • Niche-sport coverage shallow

17. Sportium Colombia: Cirsa/Codere joint heritage, retail roots

Sportium Colombia descends from the Spanish Cirsa-Codere joint venture. Coljuegos licensed. The product is functional, the retail credibility is high, and the Spanish heritage shows up in calm, RG-forward UI. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, cards. Payouts within 24 hours.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Strong RG framework
  • Spanish-group retail credibility

Cons

  • Smaller brand recognition than BetPlay/Wplay
  • App polish mid-tier
  • Liga BetPlay depth secondary

18. Bwin Colombia: Entain brand, European football depth

Bwin Colombia is an Entain-group operation under a Coljuegos contrato. Coverage is strongest on European football, Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, and weaker on the Colombian local layer than BetPlay or Wplay. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, cards. Payouts within 24 hours.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Deep European football markets
  • Established Entain-group ecosystem

Cons

  • Liga BetPlay depth secondary
  • App polish trails BetPlay
  • Promo cycle modest

19. Stake.com Colombia: crypto-curious bettors, now licensed locally

Stake.com made the unusual move of taking a Coljuegos contrato for its Colombian product. The catch, and the one international guides miss, is that the licensed Colombian product is fiat-only in COP. No USDT, no BTC, no ETH inside the .co wallet. So the Stake brand is here, the platform is here, but the crypto-first DNA is parked at the border. PSE, Nequi, cards. Withdrawals within 24 hours.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed (rare for a crypto-first brand)
  • Strong sportsbook and casino tech
  • PSE and Nequi integrated

Cons

  • No crypto in the Colombian product
  • Customer-support reach in Spanish still maturing
  • Localised Liga BetPlay depth secondary

20. MrYoker: newest Coljuegos entrant (May 2026)

MrYoker joined the Coljuegos register in May 2026, bringing the total to fifteen authorised operators. As the newest licensee, it's still settling its rails and customer-service infrastructure, give it a quarter before judging properly. Sports betting, live casino and slots all in scope. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, cards. Payouts running 1-48 hours during the launch phase.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed (May 2026)
  • Sportsbook plus casino plus live casino
  • Fresh modern UX

Cons

  • Very new, track record minimal
  • Payout times variable while settling
  • Brand recognition zero

21. Bingo Casino Online: casino-heavy with light sportsbook

Bingo Casino Online is the smaller Coljuegos licensee, focused on bingo, casino and a light sportsbook layer. Useful if bingo is your thing; not the first place I'd send a sports bettor. PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Efecty. Payouts within 24 hours.

Pros

  • Coljuegos licensed
  • Strong bingo product
  • Full Colombian payment-rail support

Cons

  • Sportsbook is a light add-on
  • Small operator scale
  • App polish basic

22. Pinnacle: sharpest odds and high limits (offshore for CO)

The sharp bettor's reference book. Pinnacle prices tighter than any promo-heavy book and famously doesn't restrict winning players. The catch in Colombia: no Coljuegos contrato, no PSE/Nequi/Daviplata, and you sit outside Colombian consumer protections. Useful for price benchmarking; I wouldn't make it a primary book.

Pros

  • Lowest margins, sharpest prices globally
  • High limits
  • Does not limit winning players

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No PSE / Nequi / Daviplata
  • No live streaming
  • UI is intimidating for casual bettors

23. bet365: best for in-play and streaming, but offshore for CO

bet365 is the global benchmark for in-play and live streaming. It does not, however, hold a Coljuegos contrato, and unlike Brazil (where bet365 took an SPA licence in 2024) or Spain (DGOJ-licensed), the Colombian product sits on the offshore side. Payment rails into Colombia are limited and the experience can be inconsistent. Useful as a streaming reference; not where a Colombian player should be settling their handle.

Pros

  • Best-in-class live streaming globally
  • 1,000+ markets, 30+ sports
  • Strong app

Cons

  • Not on the Coljuegos register
  • Limited Colombian payment integration
  • Outside Colombian consumer protections

24. William Hill: best for bet builders (offshore for CO)

William Hill, now part of the evoke (888) group, has a polished bet-builder and competitive core prices. It hasn't taken a Coljuegos contrato, so it serves Colombian players from offshore. Limited PSE/Nequi integration and outside CO protections.

Pros

  • Polished bet builder
  • Competitive core prices
  • Long-established brand

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • Limited Colombian rails
  • Outside CO protections

25. Megapari: international offshore with crypto

Megapari is a Curaçao-licensed international book with strong crypto support and aggressive bonus offers. It does not hold a Coljuegos contrato. Useful as a niche-market reference; not where I'd open a primary account in Colombia.

Pros

  • Aggressive promo cycle
  • Crypto and global e-wallets
  • Wide market spread

Cons

  • Not Coljuegos-licensed
  • No PSE / Nequi / Daviplata
  • Outside CO protections
  • Cluttered interface

Best Colombian sportsbook by category

Best for Liga BetPlay Dimayor (Apertura and Finalización)

BetPlay. The naming-rights deal means the deepest player-props market in the country for Junior, Atlético Nacional, Millonarios, Santa Fe, Independiente Medellín, Deportivo Cali and Once Caldas. Wplay is the close runner-up.

Best for Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana

Betano for the modelling sharpness on Brazilian and Argentine sides; Wplay for the Colombian-team angles on Junior, Nacional, Millonarios and Once Caldas.

Best for Selección Colombia (los Cafeteros)

Betano and BetPlay, level. Both run deep Selección markets, World Cup qualifiers, Copa América (next edition 2028), friendlies, with player props on the post-James, post-Falcao generation: Luis Díaz, Lerma, Cuesta, Lucumí, Borja, Córdoba, Arias.

Best for Tour de France and cycling

Wplay historically has the deepest cycling book in Colombia, including Colombian-rider specials. Egan Bernal's 2019 win, Nairo Quintana's GC podiums and the Higuita / López / Buitrago generation made Tour de France a national-betting holiday in Colombia. Operators that don't run a serious Tour book lose handle every July.

Best for NBA and US sports

Rushbet, thanks to the Rush Street Interactive parent. Same-game-parlay tools work the way US bettors expect; NBA, NFL, MLB and UFC depth is class-leading on the Colombian register.

Best mobile app

BetPlay's native app is the slickest Colombian product I used, fast, low data, clean. Betano is a close second.

Best for fast withdrawals (Nequi / Daviplata)

Wplay and BetPlay, level, both consistently returned Nequi payouts in under four hours across multiple test withdrawals.

Best for high rollers

Pinnacle globally for limits and price (offshore caveat applies). Among Coljuegos-licensed books, Betsson handles larger tickets without complaint.

Best for casual or low-stakes bettors

YaJuego for the clean UX and low minimums, with BetPlay close behind for sheer everyday convenience.

Liga BetPlay Dimayor and the Apertura / Finalización format

If you've come to Colombian betting from a European market, the first thing that will surprise you is that the domestic football season runs in two halves with two champions per calendar year. The Apertura runs roughly January to June and the Finalización runs July to December. Eight teams qualify from each half-season into a play-off "cuadrangulares" round, and the two-leg final crowns each tournament's winner. Atlético Nacional from Medellín is the all-time leader; Junior de Barranquilla, Millonarios from Bogotá, Independiente Medellín, América de Cali, Deportivo Cali, Santa Fe and Once Caldas round out the historically dominant group.

That format shapes the betting market in two ways. First, mid-table relevance is unusually high, even an eighth-placed side can win the title through the play-offs, which keeps moneyline and "to qualify" markets liquid late into each half. Second, the cuadrangulares week is the single biggest local-football handle week of the year on every Colombian operator. BetPlay, as the naming-rights partner, runs the deepest book for those weeks. Wplay matches it on the headline 1X2 markets but BetPlay typically has the wider prop layer (player goals, cards, corners, exact-scorelines).

If you bet Liga BetPlay seriously, you also want an operator that handles the regional rivalries with proper depth: the Clásico Paisa (Atlético Nacional vs Independiente Medellín), the Clásico Vallecaucano (América vs Deportivo Cali), the Clásico Capitalino (Millonarios vs Santa Fe), and the Clásico Costeño (Junior vs Unión Magdalena). On those match-days every Coljuegos-licensed book runs special promos to the player base, see them only on the operator's own site after KYC.

Tour de France, Egan Bernal and the cycling-betting tradition

Colombia is, per capita, the deepest cycling-betting market in the world, and most international guides skip this entirely. Three Tour de France podiums by Nairo Quintana (2013, 2015, 2016), Egan Bernal's outright Tour win in 2019, his Giro d'Italia win in 2021, and the steady supply of grand-tour climbers in Higuita, Sergio Higuita, López, Buitrago and Rigoberto Urán mean that every July the Colombian sportsbook handle on cycling rivals what European books see on tennis Grand Slams.

Practical product detail: Wplay, BetPlay and Betano all run Tour de France markets that go well beyond outright winner and yellow jersey. Expect stage-winner props, mountain-stage specialist matchups (Colombian rider vs Slovenian, etc.), king of the mountains markets, points classification, young rider, team classification and individual time-trial stage markets. Two-week and three-week Vuelta a España and Giro d'Italia coverage is also strong. If you bet cycling, the Coljuegos-licensed depth on this category is one of the underrated edges of betting from Colombia versus, say, betting from Spain.

Boxing, MMA and combat sports

Colombian boxing has a serious tradition, Yuberjen Martínez at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, Éleider "Storm" Álvarez's WBC light-heavyweight reign, plus a steady pipeline through Antonio Cervantes "Kid Pambelé" historically. The result is a Colombian sportsbook market that takes boxing more seriously than most LatAm peers. UFC is the bigger weekly handle driver, Colombian fighters like Daniel Pineda and Felipe Colares move volume on their card weekends, and the Saturday-night UFC card is now a fixed feature of the Coljuegos-licensed product calendar. BetPlay, Wplay and Rushbet run the deepest UFC books in market.

Timeline: the history of betting in Colombia

The Colombian framework looks elegant in hindsight, but it took twenty years of legal layering to land here. The dates below are confirmed against Coljuegos publications, Ministerio de Hacienda decrees and contemporary press.

2001

Ley 643 establishes the Colombian gambling monopoly and earmarks 100% of gambling revenue to the public-health system. This is the constitutional fundamento behind everything that comes next.

2011

Coljuegos is created as the Empresa Industrial y Comercial del Estado Administradora del Monopolio Rentístico de los Juegos de Suerte y Azar, consolidating regulatory authority.

2015

Decreto 1068 de 2015 consolidates the financial-sector regulation that frames online-gambling operations.

2016

Wplay receives the first online sports-betting contrato Coljuegos ever issues. Colombia becomes the first regulated online sports-betting market in Latin America.

2017-2019

BetPlay, Codere, Rushbet, YaJuego, Luckia and others enter the register. By end-2019 there are roughly a dozen licensed operators.

2020

Online casino and slots are formally legalised and added to the Coljuegos licensing scope (initially under emergency Covid-era decrees, then made permanent). The licensed scope is now sports betting + casino + slots + live casino + bingo.

2022-2024

Major international brands enter: Betsson, Bwin, Betano on the Coljuegos register. Stake.com takes the unusual step of seeking a Coljuegos contrato for its Colombian product.

February 2025

Decreto 0175 de 2025 introduces a temporary 19% VAT on online gambling deposits, sitting on top of the existing 15% gaming tax on GGR. Fecoljuegos reports roughly a 30% drop in operator GGR in the months that follow.

May 2026

MrYoker becomes the fifteenth Coljuegos-licensed operator (Infoplay).

The 2025 VAT decision is the single biggest market story of the last five years. Fecoljuegos, the operator trade body, has spent 2025 and 2026 lobbying Hacienda to make the VAT either smaller or temporary-and-actually-temporary. Operator margins are the visible casualty; the less visible one is that some marginal players have drifted to offshore books that don't charge VAT, which is exactly the outcome the public-health revenue model can't afford. Worth watching across 2026, the Petro government's fiscal targets versus the licensed market's complaint that the goose is now laying smaller eggs (bestinslot.co).

Quick facts: age, taxes and payments

  • Minimum age: 18+, set by Coljuegos for all licensed operators. KYC requires a valid cédula (Colombian ID) front and back, plus a liveness selfie.
  • Tax on winnings: For recreational bettors, lottery-style retenciones can apply on individual premios over certain thresholds. For online sportsbook winnings, the picture is less clear-cut, speak to a contador if you bet seriously. Operators do not generally withhold income tax on routine sportsbook withdrawals.
  • Operator tax burden: 15% gaming tax on GGR plus 19% temporary VAT (Decreto 0175 de 2025). Pass-through to player value is real.
  • Payments: PSE for the larger tickets, Nequi and Daviplata for everyday deposits and withdrawals, Efecty/SuperGIROS/Baloto for cash payment at convenience stores. Crypto is not standard inside the licensed Colombian product.
  • Minimum deposit: COP 5,000 to COP 10,000 at most Coljuegos-licensed sites.
  • Where the tax goes: Every cent of gambling tax in Colombia is constitutionally earmarked for the public-health system. Coljuegos publishes the transfer amounts.

FAQ: best betting sites in Colombia

Is online betting legal in Colombia?

Yes, since 2016. Coljuegos licenses online sports-betting operators under Ley 643 and Decreto 1068 de 2015. Casino and slots online were added to scope in 2020. Only operators on the official Coljuegos register are legal in Colombia.

Who are the Coljuegos-licensed operators in 2026?

As of May 2026, fifteen operators: Wplay, BetPlay, Rushbet, Codere, Betano, YaJuego, Luckia, Betsson, Rivalo, Zamba, Sportium, Bwin, Stake, MrYoker and Bingo Casino Online.

What's the minimum age?

18+ for all Coljuegos-licensed operators. Full cédula-based KYC is required before withdrawal.

Can I use PSE, Nequi and Daviplata at most operators?

Yes, every Coljuegos-licensed operator I tested supports PSE plus Nequi plus Daviplata, and most also support Efecty and SuperGIROS for cash deposits.

How fast are payouts?

Wplay and BetPlay consistently returned Nequi withdrawals in under four hours in my testing. Betano, Codere and Rushbet ran 6-24 hours. Newer operators (MrYoker) can stretch to 48 hours during launch phase.

What's the deal with the VAT and the 30% revenue drop?

Decreto 0175 de 2025 introduced a temporary 19% VAT on online gambling deposits in February 2025. Fecoljuegos reported roughly a 30% GGR drop in the months that followed, as operators absorbed the tax or passed some through to leaner bonus offers.

Is crypto betting legal in Colombia?

Coljuegos-licensed operators run in COP, not crypto. The offshore books that accept crypto are not on the Colombian register and sit outside Colombian consumer protections. If you choose to use them, do your own due diligence.

Are offshore betting sites blocked in Colombia?

Yes, intermittently. Coljuegos and MinTIC run periodic ISP-level blocking sweeps against unlicensed operators, and the blocked list moves month-to-month.

Does every cent of betting tax really go to public health?

Yes, that's the constitutional architecture of Ley 643 de 2001. Coljuegos publishes the transfers to the Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud quarterly. The 2025 contribution was reported at COP 1.06 trillion (bestinslot.co).

Best app for live betting in Colombia?

BetPlay's native app, by some margin, with Betano close behind.

My take: where I'd open my first account

If hockey were the lead sport in Colombia I'd give you a different answer, but it's football, cycling and Selección, so the answer is straightforward. For Liga BetPlay-first bettors, BetPlay is the obvious primera cuenta: the naming-rights deal feeds the deepest local football book and the app is the slickest in market. For the longer-term trust play, and for the operator I'd recommend to anyone in my family, it's Wplay, the original Coljuegos licensee with the broadest payment-rail support and the cleanest payout record. If you want price-shopping across European football and the sharpest live-betting experience inside the regulated stack, add a Betano account. And if NBA, NFL and UFC are your primary categories, add Rushbet for the US-style UX.

What I would not do is open an account at any of the offshore names that dominate global lists, 22bet, BetLabel, Ivibet, KingMaker, Pinnacle, bet365, William Hill, as a primary book in Colombia. The Coljuegos-licensed market is mature, the payment rails are clean, the payouts are fast, and the public-health tax loop is one of the few places in the betting industry where a stake genuinely contributes to something beyond the operator's P&L. Pick a licensed bookmaker. La regulación vale más que cualquier bono.

Apuesta con responsabilidad. You must be 18+ to bet in Colombia. Gambling can be addictive. Set deposit and time limits, never chase losses, and only stake what you can afford to lose. If gambling stops being fun, free, confidential help is available through Coljuegos' responsible-gambling channels and the Línea de la Vida (national mental-health helpline). All Coljuegos-licensed operators offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion under the responsable-gambling framework.
