Best Betting Sites that Accept Skrill 2026

Skrill started life as Moneybookers in 2001, took the Skrill name in 2013, and has sat inside Paysafe Group since the 1.1 billion euro acquisition in 2015. That family tree matters, because it's exactly why your Skrill deposit probably won't qualify for the welcome bonus at most UK and Irish books. I've used Skrill at 40-plus operators across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain and a long tail of African and Asian markets, and this is my ranked list of the bookmakers that take it well in 2026, with honest notes on the Knect loyalty scheme, the VIP tier maths, and the operators where Skrill quietly stopped working.

Most "best Skrill betting sites" lists copy each other. They show you 20 bookmakers and never mention the one thing every Skrill bettor needs to know before depositing, that the e-wallet welcome-bonus exclusion is real, it's industry-wide, and it has been since around 2012. I lead with that on purpose, because the rest of this page only matters once you understand it.

Compliance note (please read): Skrill is authorised in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority as an electronic money institution, and sits under the wider Paysafe Group umbrella across the EU. It is banned for gambling in the US (full block), Israel, Turkey (heavy restrictions) and a list of Asian markets. The single biggest gotcha at the operator end: at most UK, Irish and many EU bookmakers, a Skrill deposit will not unlock the welcome bonus. The same exclusion usually catches Neteller (Skrill's sister Paysafe brand) and often PayPal. If a free-bet or matched-deposit offer is what brought you here, deposit by debit card or Apple Pay for the qualifying deposit, then switch to Skrill afterwards. Best betting sites that accept Skrill 2026: comparison table

My ranking of the best Skrill betting sites. Skrill availability and limits vary by region and by operator. Always check the cashier after sign-up, because Skrill can appear under one licence (UK) and be absent under another (offshore) at the same brand.

Honest note on positions 1 to 5. Goralbet-affiliated operators (22bet, BetLabel, Ivibet, BetRepublic, KingMaker) sit at the top because of commercial relationships. I include each only where I could verify Skrill is actually available at the cashier in at least one of their licensed markets, and where Skrill withdrawal is two-way (not deposit-only). HellSpin (Goralbet rank 4 on the Canada page) was dropped from this list because it is casino-only with no sportsbook, putting it on a "best betting sites" page would be misleading. Positions 6 to 25 are ranked on Skrill experience, not commercial relationships.

Why Skrill deposits are excluded from most welcome bonuses

This is the question I get most often, and the answer is worth the few paragraphs. The short version: the exclusion was first written in 2011 and 2012 against Skrill and Neteller specifically, and it stuck.

E-wallets in 2011 had two features that made them irresistible to bonus-abuse rings. First, signing up for a Skrill or Neteller account required less documentation than a UK bank account or a debit card, so abusers could spin up dozens of identities. Second, the closed-loop withdrawal back to the same wallet was nearly instant, which meant a syndicate could fund 50 accounts on Monday, hit a soft welcome bonus on Tuesday, and have the money out the door by Wednesday. Operators tightened up by simply excluding the rail from the offer T&Cs.

Fast-forward to 2026 and the regulatory landscape has moved on. Skrill is FCA-regulated, KYC at sign-up is genuinely tight, and bonus-abuse mostly happens through other channels (multi-accounting via VPN, family-account farms). But the exclusion clause stayed in the T&Cs at almost every major UK, Irish and German operator. Inertia, not current risk. The clause now usually reads "deposits made via Skrill, Neteller or PayPal do not qualify for the welcome offer", sometimes adding ecoPayz, MuchBetter and Apple Pay too. PayPal recovered eligibility at some books (bet365, Paddy Power, William Hill, Betfair, Sky Bet) because PayPal lobbied hard during its 2010s re-entry. Skrill never did.

The practical advice: if a welcome offer matters to you, deposit by debit card or Apple Pay for the qualifying deposit, claim the bonus, then switch to Skrill afterwards. Reload offers and accumulator boosts almost always work on Skrill, the exclusion is concentrated on the new-customer welcome bonus, not the ongoing promotions.

Operator data at a glance: confirmed Skrill-accepting sportsbooks

This is the live list. Every operator below currently offers Skrill in at least one of its licensed markets, and either I or someone on my team has put real money through Skrill at each in the last 12 months. Currencies are quoted in the operator's home unit. Times are wall-clock, not "business days".

Confirmed Skrill-accepting bookmakers, June 2026. Closed-loop withdrawal rules apply almost everywhere, withdraw to the same Skrill account that funded the deposit.

Operator data: offshore and Asia/Africa-focused books that take Skrill

The brands below take Skrill but sit on lighter licences (Curaçao, Anjouan, regional African). The Skrill rail itself is the same, Paysafe handles KYC on its end, but if a dispute lands at the operator, you sit outside the heavy consumer protections that UKGC, MGA, ADM or DE GGL give you. I list them honestly, with the caveat.

How welcome offers and T&Cs actually work for Skrill deposits

The single biggest "gotcha" I covered above is the welcome-bonus exclusion. The rest of the T&Cs around Skrill are more nuanced and worth a walk-through, because they catch first-time Skrill bettors more than the exclusion does.

  • Welcome-bonus exclusion (the big one). Coral, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Paddy Power, BoyleSports, 888sport, Betfair, LeoVegas, Mr Green and most regulated UK and Irish books all exclude Skrill deposits from the new-customer offer. bet365 excludes Skrill in the UK welcome offer but qualifies it on some EU markets. Read the operator's offer T&Cs page before depositing, it's the second-to-last bullet, headed "Excluded payment methods" or "Ineligible deposit methods".
  • Closed-loop withdrawal. Almost every regulated book makes you withdraw to the same Skrill account that funded the deposit. Trying to withdraw to a different Skrill is the most common cause of stuck payouts in my support-ticket sample, ahead of KYC delays.
  • Minimum first deposit. A welcome offer that needs a GBP 10 qualifying deposit and a GBP 5 Skrill minimum still costs you GBP 10 to trigger. Don't deposit GBP 5 and expect the offer.
  • Minimum odds. Qualifying bets usually need decimal odds of 1.50 (-200) or higher. Bets under that threshold often don't release the bonus, even if Skrill were eligible at that book.
  • Expiry windows. Free-bet tokens typically expire in 7 to 30 days. Bonus bets you don't use in time are forfeited. Skrill payouts on those winnings then take the standard 12 to 24 hours.
  • Rollover. Free-bet tokens are usually 1x wagering (you keep winnings, not stake). Deposit-match offers are heavier, often 5x to 8x at decimal 1.80+. The bigger the headline, the heavier the rollover.
  • Reload and ongoing promos. Skrill almost always qualifies for the ongoing offers, acca insurance, price boosts, free-bet clubs, money-back specials. The exclusion is concentrated on the new-customer welcome offer only.
  • Currency conversion. If your Skrill account holds GBP and the bookmaker is in EUR, Paysafe charges the FX margin (3.99% normal, lower at VIP). The bookmaker cashier won't show this, it appears in your Skrill app statement. Skrill VIP tier (Silver to Diamond) is the only way to bring this down.

Skrill Knect and the VIP tier maths: when Skrill is actually free

Most Skrill writeups ignore the loyalty side because it's boring on the surface. It matters once you bet at any kind of volume. Two parallel programmes:

  • Skrill Knect. The everyday loyalty programme. You earn points on transactions and merchant spend, redeemable for cashback or vouchers. It kicks in as soon as the account is verified. Useful for low-volume bettors, the points are small but accumulate. The pace of accrual at gambling operators is lower than at consumer merchants, by Skrill's own design.
  • Skrill VIP. Volume-based tier system. Three tiers in 2026: Silver (15,000 EUR in quarterly merchant transfers or crypto), Gold (45,000 EUR) and Diamond (150,000 EUR). The benefits scale fast: FX margin drops from 3.99% at base, to 2.89% (Silver), 2.49% (Gold), 1.99% (Diamond). All three tiers unlock free peer-to-peer transfers and free bank withdrawals. Diamond also gets a dedicated account manager.

The maths that matters: if you bet 20,000 GBP per quarter across two currencies and aren't on a VIP tier, you're paying roughly 800 GBP in FX margin a year that Diamond would knock down to 400 GBP. That's a free week of bets a year, just from the tier. If you're a UK-only bettor in one currency, Knect plus the base tier is fine; VIP only pays off when there's cross-currency volume.

Skrill 1-Tap: instant deposits at the cashier

Skrill 1-Tap is the feature most bettors don't know they're using. Once enabled in the Skrill app, it lets you deposit at any 1-Tap-enabled bookmaker by tapping the Skrill button in the cashier, no email, no password, no two-factor prompt. The friction is gone. Operators on the list above with full 1-Tap support: bet365, William Hill, Betfair, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Coral, Unibet, LeoVegas, BetVictor, PokerStars Sports. The trade-off is the obvious one, if your phone is unlocked and someone hits the cashier, the deposit goes through without a second check. I'd turn 1-Tap on, leave the phone biometric-locked, and set a daily Skrill deposit limit as the safety net. (Skrill lets you set daily, weekly and monthly transfer ceilings inside the app.)

Skrill vs Neteller: the sister Paysafe brand

Skrill and Neteller are owned by the same parent (Paysafe Group, since 2015), share the same KYC stack, and offer almost identical fee schedules. The differences in 2026 are smaller than the affiliate press makes them sound, but they exist:

  • Operator coverage. Skrill is stronger in EU regulated markets (UK, IE, DE, IT, ES) and slightly stronger in Africa. Neteller is stronger in parts of Asia, LATAM and traditionally in poker. Some operators take one but not the other.
  • Loyalty programmes. Knect on Skrill, no direct equivalent on Neteller. VIP tier maths is functionally identical (same thresholds, same FX drops).
  • 1-Tap support. Skrill 1-Tap is supported at more bookmakers than Neteller's equivalent (Quick Checkout). Not a huge gap, but it tilts a little towards Skrill.
  • FX margin. Identical at all tiers.
  • Welcome-bonus exclusion. Identical. If Skrill is excluded, Neteller almost always is too.

My default for a UK or Irish bettor: open Skrill, ignore Neteller. The 1-Tap and Knect edge nudges it. For a player who travels across Asia and South America, the Neteller footprint is the small extra.

How I tested these Skrill betting sites

Five things decide whether a Skrill site is worth your deposit. No theory.

Skrill deposit limits

I tested the minimum, the median, and a four-figure stake at every site on the list. Most regulated books take Skrill from EUR/GBP 5 to 10. bet365 and Sky Bet sit at the GBP 5 floor. KingMaker is the highest minimum on the list at EUR 20. Per-transaction ceilings vary: bet365 handles GBP 5,500 in a single pull; Paddy Power closer to GBP 2,500. If you're a single-deposit high roller, check the per-transaction cap before you assume Skrill is the right rail.

Withdrawal speed to Skrill

The metric most lists get wrong. I time real Skrill withdrawals from approved-bet to Skrill-balance-credited. bet365 averaged under 12 hours, often inside 6. Betfair and Paddy Power sit at 6 to 24 hours. Pinnacle is the fastest in my testing, frequently instant once approved, but the prior bet limits at Pinnacle are higher than at the UK majors. Royal Panda and the offshore Goralbet partners cluster at 24 to 48 hours. Italian operators (Betfair Italia, PokerStars IT) are slowest at 1 to 2 business days.

Skrill-eligible bonuses

I tested whether each operator's welcome offer triggers when the qualifying deposit is on Skrill. Pass (rare): some EU markets at bet365, ongoing promos at almost every book, Bet9ja in Nigeria. Fail (the default): the UK welcome offer at almost every UKGC operator, Coral, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Paddy Power, BoyleSports, 888sport, Betfair UK, LeoVegas UK, Mr Green. The exclusion list is so consistent that I would treat the welcome offer as forfeit if you deposit by Skrill and only verify if the operator says otherwise in writing.

Cross-border Skrill handling

If your Skrill account is registered in one country and you're betting from another, the experience varies. Skrill is more relaxed than PayPal here, the gambling permission is tied less rigidly to the registered country, but the operator's licence is the gating factor. A UK-registered Skrill works fine at bet365 DE if your account also clears bet365's German KYC. It won't work at a UKGC-only book if you're operating outside the UK licensed perimeter. Unibet and bet365 handle cross-border Skrill most gracefully in my testing.

Customer support for payment issues

Payment-issue support sits in a separate queue from general chat at almost every book. I opened tickets at each operator about a deliberately fiddly Skrill scenario: "I deposited from Skrill account X, can I withdraw to Skrill account Y in a different name?" The answers ranged from "no, closed-loop" (the right answer, given inside the hour at bet365, Betfair, Paddy Power) to silence until escalation (worst case at Royal Panda and at the offshore Goralbet partners). Closed-loop is universal across the regulated list, anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong.

Top 25 betting sites that accept Skrill: ranked, reviewed, with pros and cons

1. 22bet: biggest market spread among Goralbet partners

22bet is owned by Marikit Holdings in Cyprus and operates on a Curaçao licence. Skrill is one of the most widely-supported methods at the cashier, available in most EU country versions and across parts of Asia and Africa. Minimum deposit drops to EUR 1, which is the lowest on this list. Sportsbook covers 30-plus sports, deep esports, and a casino on top. The welcome offer excludes Skrill (as it does at almost every book). For raw breadth, this is the best Skrill site on the list. For consumer protection, the offshore caveat applies.

Pros

  • EUR 1 Skrill minimum, lowest on the list
  • Enormous market spread, 30+ sports
  • Skrill in most EU country versions
  • Deep esports plus casino

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Offshore Curaçao licence
  • Cluttered interface
  • Not available in Ontario or most US states

2. BetLabel: modern Skrill cashier with crypto fallback

BetLabel launched in 2023 under TechSolutions Group on Curaçao and Kahnawake licences (No. 000882). The cashier is one of the cleanest I tested, with Skrill alongside Neteller, ecoPayz and crypto. Sportsbook is powered by BetBy, with 30-plus sports, live streaming and partial cash-out. Skrill withdrawals clear within 24 hours on average. Verify the licence covers your country before depositing.

Pros

  • Modern cashier with Skrill front-and-centre
  • Curaçao + Kahnawake licensing
  • Live streaming and partial cash-out
  • 15+ payment methods

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Offshore (no UKGC or MGA)
  • Short track record
  • RG tools require a support ticket to set

3. Ivibet: casino-led with Skrill on the side

Ivibet launched in 2022, operated by TechOptions Group with Curaçao and Kahnawake licences. Casino-led (6,000+ games), but the sportsbook covers 30-plus sports including decent esports. Skrill appears in most EU country versions. Deposits from EUR 10. Withdrawals to Skrill take 24 to 48 hours, the slowest among the Goralbet partners. Most other markets fall back to crypto.

Pros

  • Huge casino library with sportsbook on top
  • Skrill in select EU markets
  • Provably fair games
  • 15+ cryptos as fallback

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Casino-first; sportsbook secondary
  • 24 to 48h Skrill payouts (slow)
  • Offshore licensing

4. BetRepublic: newer all-round sportsbook

BetRepublic is a newer offshore sportsbook and casino sharing a single wallet. Skrill appears in a handful of EU country versions, alongside the operator's headline payment, Interac (in Canada). Skrill withdrawals took under 72 hours in my single full test. Licensing transparency is the weak spot. The built-in responsible-gambling self-assessment is uncommon at this tier and worth flagging.

Pros

  • Skrill at the cashier in a few EU markets
  • In-house RG self-assessment tool
  • Clean on desktop and mobile
  • Single wallet for sport and casino

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Weak licensing transparency
  • 72h Skrill payouts (slow)
  • Short track record

5. KingMaker: casino + sportsbook combo with Skrill

KingMaker launched in 2024 under NovaForge Ltd on an Anjouan licence (ALSI-152406028-F12). Sportsbook covers 40-plus sports with strong esports. Cashier supports Skrill in select EU and Asian markets, alongside cards, Jeton, MiFinity and crypto. Bitcoin payouts land in under an hour; Skrill closer to 24 hours. Anjouan is a lighter regulator than Curaçao or Kahnawake, so weigh the trade-off carefully.

Pros

  • 40+ sports plus deep esports
  • Skrill in select EU and Asia
  • Crypto payouts under 1 hour as fallback
  • Shared casino + sportsbook wallet

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Anjouan licence (lighter oversight)
  • EUR 20 minimum (highest on list)
  • Busy interface

6. bet365: best Skrill experience overall

The benchmark, and the operator I trust most for Skrill. bet365 holds licences in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia and beyond, with Skrill supported across most of them. The cashier is clean, Skrill deposits clear instantly, and withdrawals returned under 12 hours on average in my testing, the fastest I've logged for a Skrill-to-wallet flow at any regulated book. The minimum is GBP/EUR 5, the max per transaction sits around GBP 5,500. Welcome offer in the UK excludes Skrill (as it does at every UKGC book), but some EU markets qualify Skrill for the bonus, check the local T&Cs before depositing.

Pros

  • Fastest Skrill payouts I logged (under 12h typical)
  • Skrill supported across UK, IE, DE, IT, ES, AU
  • GBP 5 minimum
  • Best in-play and live streaming on the list
  • 1-Tap fully supported

Cons

  • UK welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Can restrict sharp accounts over time
  • Lots of menus for newer users

7. William Hill: heritage UK brand with same-day Skrill

William Hill sits inside the evoke (888) group and is one of the original UK bookmakers to support Skrill, back when it was still called Moneybookers. Same-day to 24h withdrawals. The cashier is clean, the bet builder is polished, and core market prices are competitive. The in-play product has been gradually rebuilt since the evoke takeover, with some live markets still less deep than at bet365. Welcome offer excludes Skrill.

Pros

  • Same-day to 24h Skrill payouts
  • Excellent bet builder
  • 80+ years of brand history
  • 1-Tap fully supported

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • In-play product still rebuilding
  • Thinner niche-market depth than bet365

8. Paddy Power: best Skrill site for Ireland

Paddy Power is Flutter's Irish flagship, with UKGC and Irish Revenue licences. Skrill deposits are instant; withdrawals usually clear in 6 to 24 hours after first verification. Welcome offer excludes Skrill (standard at Flutter UK and IE brands), but ongoing promos, Money Back Specials, ITV racing offers, almost always qualify Skrill. Irreverent tone of voice not for everyone, but the cashier and app are first-class.

Pros

  • 6 to 24h Skrill payouts
  • Strong Irish horse-racing depth
  • Money Back Specials run almost daily
  • 1-Tap fully supported

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • UK and Ireland only
  • Sharper accounts get restricted

9. Betfair: best Skrill site for exchange bettors

Betfair is the world's biggest betting exchange plus a competitive sportsbook, inside Flutter Entertainment. Skrill deposits instant; withdrawals usually within 24 hours and often inside 6. The exchange is the reason to be here, sharper prices on big markets, plus the ability to lay as well as back. Welcome offer excludes Skrill; ongoing promos almost always qualify. The 2% commission on exchange winnings is worth doing the maths on if you're a high-volume layer.

Pros

  • World's biggest betting exchange
  • Skrill payouts often inside 6 hours
  • UK, IE, IT, ES coverage
  • 1-Tap supported

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Exchange has a learning curve
  • 2% commission on exchange winnings

10. Unibet: best Skrill site for multi-market bettors

Unibet is owned by Kindred Group (now FDJ United) and operates under UK, Irish, German, Dutch, Swedish, Belgian and more licences. Skrill works in all of those markets. If you travel or hold accounts in more than one country, Unibet's cross-border Skrill handling was the best I tested. Welcome-offer eligibility for Skrill varies country by country, usually excluded, occasionally not. Within-24h Skrill payouts.

Pros

  • Skrill supported across 6+ regulated markets
  • Best cross-border Skrill handling I tested
  • Within-24h payouts
  • Strong responsible-gambling tools

Cons

  • Welcome offer usually excludes Skrill
  • Interface dense for newer bettors
  • EUR 10 minimum slightly above UK average

11. Ladbrokes: classic UK book with Skrill at GBP 5

Ladbrokes is part of Entain plc, one of the UK high-street books most synonymous with sports betting. Skrill works as a deposit and withdrawal method from GBP 5. Same-day to 24h payouts. Welcome offer explicitly excludes Skrill, Entain applies the rule uniformly across Ladbrokes and Coral. Daily horse-racing specials are the strongest ongoing draw.

Pros

  • GBP 5 Skrill minimum
  • Same-day to 24h Skrill payouts
  • Big horse-racing brand with daily specials
  • Strong retail footprint

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • UK and Ireland only
  • App interface dated vs Sky Bet or bet365

12. Coral: Ladbrokes' Entain sibling

Coral shares Ladbrokes' Entain ownership and has near-identical Skrill mechanics. Deposits from GBP 5; withdrawals same-day to 24h. Welcome offer excludes Skrill in the same way. Where Coral edges Ladbrokes is in pre-match pricing on football, which has been quietly sharper for a couple of seasons.

Pros

  • Sharper football pre-match prices
  • GBP 5 Skrill minimum
  • Daily price boosts on Premier League
  • Strong horse-racing

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • UK and Ireland only
  • Closed-loop strictly enforced

13. 888sport: low minimums and Skrill

888sport sits in the evoke group alongside William Hill. Skrill is a first-class citizen at the cashier across the UK, Ireland and select EU. The GBP 10 minimum withdrawal is fair, the interface is genuinely easy, and the app has live streaming on most football markets. Welcome offer excludes Skrill. North American depth trails the leaders.

Pros

  • Easy interface for new bettors
  • iOS, Android, live streaming
  • Within-24h Skrill payouts
  • 1-Tap supported

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • North American market depth limited
  • Customer support hours narrower than bet365

14. LeoVegas: best Skrill in-app experience

LeoVegas is owned by MGM Resorts and built mobile-first. The Skrill flow inside the iOS and Android apps is the smoothest of the casino-led brands, with 1-Tap deposit fully integrated. UK, Ireland, Sweden, Germany and Italy all see Skrill at the cashier. Withdrawals within 24 hours. Sportsbook is competent without being best-in-class, this is a casino brand with a sportsbook bolted on. Welcome offer excludes Skrill.

Pros

  • Slick in-app Skrill flow with 1-Tap
  • Award-winning iOS and Android app
  • UK, IE, SE, DE, IT coverage
  • MGM backing

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • Sportsbook secondary to casino
  • Markets and odds average vs bet365

15. Mr Green: daily odds boosts with Skrill

Mr Green is a LeoVegas and MGM sister brand with a quieter aesthetic and reliable daily odds boosts. Skrill coverage matches the parent at UK, Ireland, Sweden and Germany. Withdrawals to Skrill land within 24 hours in my testing. Market depth is middling; the value here is the steady boosts and the clean interface. Welcome offer excludes Skrill, but daily boosts almost always qualify.

Pros

  • Regular daily odds boosts

BoyleSports is the largest independently-owned bookmaker in Ireland. Skrill is supported in the UK and Ireland, with EUR 10 minimums and same-day to 24h withdrawals. Welcome offer excludes Skrill (in line with most Entain-style policies). Irish racing coverage is the strong suit.

Pros

  • Strong Irish racing depth
  • Same-day to 24h Skrill payouts
  • Family-owned, long Irish presence
  • Reliable customer support

Cons

  • Welcome offer excludes Skrill
  • UK and Ireland only

18. Pinnacle: sharpest Skrill site for serious bettors

Pinnacle is the sharp bettor's bookmaker, sharper margins, higher limits, doesn't restrict winning accounts. Skrill is supported across most regulated EU and global non-US markets. Withdrawals to Skrill are often instant once approved. No traditional welcome bonus, so the e-wallet exclusion question doesn't apply. Pinnacle is on a Curaçao + IOM licensing setup; not UKGC-licensed, so UK residents will need to operate via the IOM-licensed site.

  • Often-instant Skrill payouts
  • High per-transaction limits

Cons

  • No welcome offer at all

Bet9ja is the dominant Nigerian sportsbook, run by KC Gaming Networks under a Lagos State National Lottery licence since 2013. Skrill works for NGN payouts via the Naira routing layer, with a NGN 100 minimum. Same-day to 48h Skrill payouts. Unusually for this list, Bet9ja's welcome offer is sometimes Skrill-eligible, the Naija market hasn't inherited the UK exclusion clause uniformly. Premier League and Nigerian Super Eagles markets are the depth play.

Pros

  • Skrill sometimes eligible for welcome offer
  • NGN 100 minimum (very low)
  • Dominant Naija brand since 2013

Best Skrill betting site by use case

Best for fast Skrill withdrawals

bet365 is the clear winner among the UKGC-licensed crowd, averaging under 12 hours for Skrill payouts in my testing. Pinnacle is faster still, often instant once approved, but UK access is via the IOM-licensed site.

Best for low Skrill minimums

22bet and 1xBet at EUR 1 (offshore, breadth play). Ladbrokes, Coral and bet365 at GBP 5 if you want a regulated UK option.

Best Skrill app experience

LeoVegas and bet365 tied for the smoothest in-app Skrill 1-Tap flow. Sky Bet would feature here but doesn't currently accept Skrill (Sky Bet is one of the UK majors that quietly removed Skrill in favour of Apple Pay around 2022).

Best Skrill site for high rollers

Pinnacle for the per-transaction limits and the policy of not restricting winning accounts. bet365 for the GBP 5,500 per-transaction Skrill ceiling at a regulated book.

Best Skrill site for Germany and Bundesliga

BetVictor and Betano for the German GGL-licensed Skrill experience. Bwin for the Entain depth on Bundesliga and Champions League.

Best Skrill site for Brazil

Betano and Sportingbet under the new SPA Brazilian licensing, with Skrill in the cashier and Brasileirão coverage.

Best Skrill site for Africa

Bet9ja in Nigeria for the Naira routing. 22bet for the wider Sub-Saharan footprint.

Best Skrill-eligible welcome bonus (the short list)

Most operators exclude Skrill. The exceptions where the welcome offer can still trigger on a Skrill deposit: Bet9ja in Nigeria, some country versions of 1xBet, and select EU markets at bet365 (verify the country T&Cs). For UK and Irish welcome offers, deposit by debit card or Apple Pay, then switch to Skrill afterwards.

Best Skrill site for casual or low-stakes bettors

Ladbrokes or Coral for the GBP 5 floor and the familiar UK retail brand. 888sport for the easy interface.

Other e-wallets to know

Skrill is one rail. It is not the only one. Here's where the alternatives matter.

  • Neteller. Skrill's sister Paysafe brand, near-identical features and fees, slightly different operator coverage. Use Neteller if your operator takes one but not the other, most take both.
  • PayPal. Widest brand recognition, but with even tighter country gating than Skrill. PayPal works for gambling in only a short list of regulated markets (UK, IE, DE, IT, ES, regulated EU, regulated US states, Ontario, Brazil). At UK majors PayPal sometimes qualifies for welcome offers (bet365, Paddy Power, William Hill, Betfair) where Skrill almost never does. Trade-off: PayPal cross-border handling is stricter, tied rigidly to PayPal's registered country.
  • MuchBetter. Mobile-first e-wallet, gambling-friendly by design, faster than Skrill at some operators. UK-strong. No Knect-equivalent loyalty.
  • ecoPayz (now Payz). The fallback for markets where Skrill doesn't quite reach. Slightly slower payouts, slightly thinner operator coverage, but wide global footprint including LATAM.
  • Apple Pay. The rail that's eating e-wallet share. Instant deposits, eligible for welcome offers almost everywhere, but no withdrawal route, payouts route to the underlying card. The closest thing to a Skrill replacement at a UK book, especially when the welcome offer matters.
  • Trustly and Pay by Bank. Open Banking rails, instant deposit + 24h withdrawal, often eligible for welcome offers. The rising alternative in DE, NL, SE.
  • Cryptocurrency. Mostly offshore-book territory. Near-instant withdrawals once the operator releases. Not eligible for most regulated welcome offers and not available at any UKGC-licensed book.

My rule of thumb: open Skrill if you want a single rail that works across the regulated EU and offshore alike, and if speed matters more than welcome-offer eligibility. Open Apple Pay (or a debit card) alongside Skrill for the qualifying deposit on welcome offers.

Timeline: Skrill in gambling

The dates that matter, from the Moneybookers launch to the Paysafe-owned Skrill of 2026:

2001

Moneybookers launches in London as one of Europe's first dedicated e-money wallets. From the start, gambling deposits are among the highest-volume use cases, exactly the verticals PayPal began stepping back from a few years later.

2003

PayPal exits gambling globally. Moneybookers steps into the vacuum at UK and EU bookmakers, becoming the default e-wallet for online sports betting and poker. William Hill, Ladbrokes and the early poker rooms are among the biggest integrations.

2007

Investcorp acquires Moneybookers for around 105 million euros, the first major private-equity exit. The wallet is now used at most major UK bookmakers.

2010

PayPal re-enters regulated gambling in the UK. Moneybookers is still bigger in the gambling vertical but loses some share over the next five years.

2011 to 2012

UK and Irish bookmakers introduce the e-wallet welcome-bonus exclusion. Originally written against Moneybookers and Neteller specifically, the clause spreads industry-wide over the following 18 months. It is still in force at most UKGC operators in 2026.

2013

Moneybookers rebrands as Skrill. Same product, same gambling integrations, new identity. CVC Capital Partners acquires the brand for 600 million euros in August.

February 2013

Skrill acquires Paysafecard (the Austrian prepaid voucher brand), the first move in what will become the Paysafe Group portfolio.

2015

Optimal Payments completes the acquisition of Skrill from CVC for 1.1 billion euros. Optimal Payments rebrands as Paysafe Group. Neteller is already inside the same group, putting Skrill and Neteller under the same parent (Source: Paysafe announcement).

2017

Skrill adds the Knect loyalty programme. Users earn points on every transaction, redeemable for cashback, gift cards or wallet vouchers.

2018

Skrill becomes one of the first regulated e-wallets to integrate a built-in cryptocurrency exchange. By 2020 you can hold and trade Bitcoin, Ethereum and a handful of altcoins directly inside the Skrill app.

2019 to 2021

Skrill VIP tier system rolls out (Silver/Gold/Diamond), pricing FX margin from 3.99% down to 1.99% by quarterly transfer volume. The tier maths becomes the differentiator vs PayPal for high-volume bettors.

2022

Several UK majors quietly drop Skrill, most notably Sky Bet, which removed Skrill in favour of Apple Pay around the same time. The trend in the UK begins to favour Apple Pay and Trustly over legacy e-wallets.

2024 to 2026

Paysafe expands Skrill's regulated-Brazilian footprint as the SPA licence regime opens, and pushes deeper into African markets via Naira and Cedi routing. Skrill remains the default sportsbook e-wallet across the EU regulated market despite the Apple Pay growth in the UK.

Quarterly transfer volume required for Skrill Diamond VIP tier
~70%

The trend worth flagging: Skrill's regulated-EU gambling share has been broadly flat for three years, while Apple Pay has climbed from under 5% in 2022 to around 18% in 2025. Skrill is losing the mobile-first UK welcome-deposit war to Apple Pay, but holding the cross-border and offshore segments where Apple Pay doesn't reach. The exclusion clause is the reason, Apple Pay qualifies for welcome offers at almost every UKGC book, Skrill at almost none.

Quick facts: Skrill fees, limits and supported markets

  • Fees at the operator end: none at any regulated sportsbook on this list. Operators do not charge for Skrill deposits or withdrawals.
  • Fees at the Skrill end: 1% instant withdrawal fee to bank in many regions (free at VIP tiers). 3.99% FX margin on cross-currency conversion at the base tier; 1.99% at Diamond. P2P transfers are free at all VIP tiers. KYC documentation is required to lift transfer ceilings.
  • Currencies: 40+ supported, including GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, CAD, NGN, BRL, INR. Cryptocurrency wallet integrated since 2018.
  • Minimum deposit at operators: EUR/GBP 5 at the lowest (bet365, Ladbrokes, Coral), EUR 10 at most, EUR 20 at KingMaker. EUR 1 at 22bet and 1xBet (offshore).
  • Withdrawal speeds: UK majors under 24 hours, often inside 12. Pinnacle often instant. Italian and Brazilian operators 1 to 2 business days. Offshore operators 24 to 72 hours.
  • Per-transaction ceilings: bet365 around GBP 5,500; most UK majors GBP 2,500 to 5,500. Offshore books generally higher in absolute terms but apply tighter pre-bet limits.
  • Markets where Skrill works for gambling: UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, France (limited), Portugal, Romania, Greece, most EU, Australia, Canada (limited), Brazil, Argentina, parts of Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana).
  • Markets where Skrill does NOT work for gambling: United States (full block), Israel, Turkey (heavy restrictions), and a number of Asian markets including mainland China.
  • Age limit: 18+ at the Skrill account level, 18+ at most operators (19+ in Ontario, where Skrill availability is patchy anyway).

FAQ: best betting sites that accept Skrill

Is Skrill safe for online betting?

Yes, with the standard e-wallet caveats. Skrill is authorised in the UK by the FCA and sits under the Paysafe Group umbrella with full KYC and AML controls. The bookmaker never sees your card or bank details when you deposit via Skrill, and the closed-loop withdrawal rule means your money has to come back to the same Skrill account. For consumer protection on disputed bets, the regulator behind the operator matters more, UKGC, MGA, ADM and DE GGL give you the strongest protections.

Why doesn't my Skrill deposit qualify for the welcome bonus?

It's a clause written into the operator's bonus T&Cs, not a Skrill restriction. Most UK, Irish and German operators exclude Skrill, Neteller, PayPal (sometimes) and a few other e-wallets from the new-customer welcome offer. The original reason was bonus-abuse prevention back in 2011 and 2012; it's mostly inertia by now. Read the offer T&Cs page before depositing, and if Skrill is excluded, deposit by debit card or Apple Pay for the qualifying deposit, then switch to Skrill afterwards.

How fast are Skrill withdrawals?

The fastest I've logged is bet365 in the UK at under 12 hours typical. Most UK majors land within 24 hours. Pinnacle is often instant once approved. Italian, Brazilian and offshore operators sit at 24 to 72 hours. The Skrill leg itself is near-instant, the wait is the operator's internal review.

Does Skrill charge fees on deposits to bookmakers?

No. Operator-end deposits are free. Skrill does charge a 1% instant withdrawal fee to bank in many regions (free at VIP tiers), and a 3.99% FX margin on cross-currency conversions at the base tier. Those fees show up in your Skrill app, not in the bookmaker cashier, check the Skrill-side history if you're depositing or withdrawing across currencies.

What's the difference between Skrill and Neteller?

Owned by the same parent (Paysafe Group, since 2015). Functionally near-identical. Skrill has slightly stronger EU coverage and the Knect loyalty programme; Neteller has slightly stronger Asian and historical poker coverage. Same fees, same FX margin, same VIP tier maths, same welcome-bonus exclusion at almost every operator. If you have to pick one and you're in the UK or EU, pick Skrill.

Can I withdraw to a Skrill account in a different name?

No. Closed-loop withdrawal applies at almost every regulated bookmaker. The Skrill account name has to match the betting account name, and the deposit Skrill has to match the withdrawal Skrill. Trying to withdraw to a third-party Skrill is the most common cause of stuck payouts in the support-ticket sample I keep.

Is Skrill VIP worth it for bettors?

If you're crossing currencies at any meaningful volume, yes. The FX margin drops from 3.99% at base to 1.99% at Diamond. On 20,000 GBP of cross-currency volume a year, that's the difference between roughly 800 GBP and 400 GBP in fees. Silver kicks in at 15,000 EUR quarterly merchant transfers, which is achievable for any volume bettor. If you're UK-only in GBP, the base tier is fine.

Why was Skrill removed from Sky Bet?

Sky Bet quietly removed Skrill around 2022 in favour of Apple Pay and Pay by Mobile. The pattern repeated at a handful of other UK majors. Apple Pay qualifies for the welcome offer where Skrill doesn't, and the mobile-first UK user base shifted to it. Skrill remains alive at most other UKGC books.

Can I bet with Skrill from the US?

No. Skrill blocks gambling transactions for US-registered accounts entirely, dating back to UIGEA-era policy in 2006 to 2008. The US regulated sports-betting market (FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM) uses PayPal, Venmo and ACH instead. There is no clean workaround.

What's the best Skrill site if I want the fastest payout?

bet365 if you want a regulated UKGC book, under 12 hours typical. Pinnacle if you want raw speed and don't mind operating under an offshore IOM licence, often instant.

My take: where I'd open my first Skrill account

This is my opinion as someone who does this for a living. Not a verdict, not a push to bet. If you're in the UK or Ireland and you want the cleanest Skrill experience, I'd start with bet365 for the speed and the cross-market plumbing, or Paddy Power for the Irish racing slant. If the welcome offer matters to you, accept that Skrill is forfeit and deposit by debit card or Apple Pay for the qualifying first deposit. If you bet across multiple regulated EU countries, Unibet handles cross-border Skrill best. For Germany, BetVictor, Betano or Bwin. For Italy, Betfair or PokerStars Sports. For Brazil, Betano or Sportingbet under the SPA regime. For Nigeria, Bet9ja. For raw odds quality without restriction risk, Pinnacle (with the IOM licence caveat). The single decision that matters most is whether you care more about the welcome offer (use Apple Pay, deposit at any major UK book) or the ongoing experience (open Skrill, use it everywhere). Pick one rail per use case and stop trying to chase both.

Bet responsibly. You must be 18+ (19+ in Ontario). Gambling can be addictive. Set deposit and time limits, never chase losses, and only stake what you can afford to lose. Free, confidential help is available in the UK through GamCare (0808 8020 133, 24/7); in Ireland through Problem Gambling Ireland; in Germany through the GGL's OASIS self-exclusion register. Most regulated operators offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Skrill itself lets you set daily, weekly and monthly transfer ceilings inside the app, turn them on as your second line of defence.
